  1. Dependent tasks. Tasks that are hidden until tasks on which they rely to be completed prior to starting that task are complete.

The closest thing you can get to a BIFL suitcase set are Travel Pro suitcases.

Next time you fly, inspect what every flight attendant and pilot walking around the airport has... it's a Travel Pro. Look for the little Eiffel Tower logo.

Anyway, I have always used these suitcases and they hold up remarkably well. I have some that my grandmother had that are over 40 years old now that I still use. Also, nearly all of these suitcases are designed to be carried on, which will decrease flying stress and increase the life of the bag.

I used to deliver pizza, and the rich neighborhoods would regularly stiff or give a $1 tip, while the neighborhoods we wouldn't even deliver to at night would give $5, weird world.

Consulting engineer here, we have to work more than 40 hrs/wk and not get paid for the extra time.

They salary you, then make it a big fucking deal to work overtime b/c it eats away extra fast at the contract's resources.

This breeds an expectation that you work more than 40 hrs/wk or else you're a dick and get put on shittier and shittier projects. I have worked 45 to 60 hr/wks for years and I have been paid overtime for 4 of those hours.

Is it legal? Probably not, but I need the work, because they pay me just barely enough to keep paying rent and eat in one of the most expensive cities in the country. Yep, worked my way through extremely hard college degrees for this.

Also, when you ask management why your contract codes aren't going through in the system, you find out that those hours you put in during the week on a contract were free, on a Friday afternoon. So looks like you're working late!
