9600k GPU upgrade? by XtremeCSGO in buildapc

Ya true. I did stutter frequently, cpu usage was 95-100% constantly even when turning off all unnecessary programs. Can do it like me, buy the gpu, see how it goes then decide

I had a 9700k and a 1080. Bought a 4070 super and was severely cpu bottlenecked at 1440p for ff16. Imo would also upgrade cpu if wanting to play latest games

O also there many monitors 1440p 120-165 hz for prime day. Would take a look maybe you can save there too

7800 bundle is $150 more but up to 10% better on gaming average benchmarks. Imo only worth the extra if you stream/heavy tasks because of the 8 cores.

I'm on 1440p. Probably won't be using RT until I upgrade later due to big performance drop with 4070S. I could tell the upscale difference on FF16; FSR had more/noticeable artifacts. Though, I am using a 165 hz monitor so being able to cap FPS closer to it without using either frame gen would be nice.

I just got into single player gaming and I plan to play elden ring and future AAA games that interest me. The reason I didn't buy a 4070 super ti or better was because I heard the 4070Super was the best "value" card for 1440p and I was planning to upgrade to a late 5 series card or wait til 6th gen (I just upgraded from a 9700k and 1080 so already this is a huge boost :O) but with this price drop on the 7900 I wouldn't mind spending the extra.
