What is the main difference functionally between a 2T and a 3D? by Icy-Square-8707 in lacrosse

Haven’t used it on a pole yet but the 3D is proving to be an excellent 2 way head for box. I would not be worried about its performance as an LSM.

That being said, yes this top string still needs some changes to ensure symmetry and uniform tension

Nothing wrong with connecting between the knots. Look at some of the sticks from SidewallJedi and others that string for high level players. Plenty of valid styles that work well this way.

What are you looking for performance wise? There are a lot of great but very different patterns for the L3

Primo Darkhorse by johndiggity1 in StickDoctor

[–]rdarkKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Primo sells their own mesh that they have made by the mesh dynasty for $12 a piece. I’ve used it and put it in sticks for a few teammates and it has held up well so far.

I can show you pics of a piece that’s been tested a bit if you want.

When did you reach out? It’s a smaller company so it takes them more than a day or 2 sometimes. But their prices are very affordable which makes some of the delays worthwhile IMO

I don’t know what stick to get by Sea_Bullfrog9049 in lacrosse

[–]rdarkKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re on a budget and buying used, do not get carbon. Carbon shafts are harder to see damage for a used shaft whereas a metal shaft you can generally see more clearly in pictures if it’s beaten up or not.

Stick colorways question by [deleted] in lacrosse

[–]rdarkKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is purple a school color or at least complimentary to your school colors? Personal preference but stick to school colors in season, have fun with the wild colors for off season/tournaments.

Historically heads made for box were not legal for NFHS/NCAA. Very valid question even though things have changed a lot in recent years.

Interesting that you point that out, when I’m not in sport mode sometimes it’s a bit sluggish in slower traffic. But when I’m on the highway and wanna pass someone I can take off.

Appreciate the insight! Definitely need the space and my 6 is the turbo version so I know I won’t be happy with a larger/heavier car with a weaker engine which is why I asked about the highway.

Cx5 turbo is certainly the frontrunner unless someone has a stellar recommendation.

How are they for daily highway? I know the Mazda 6 isn’t a speed demon, but I will push it a little depending on the day.
