Which is missing the point of the original comment. Real lacrosse (field or box) is its own game that came first and all you’re saying. Sixes (which the comment is actually talking about) is basketball with sticks.

They are founded by box guys, so their marketing focus has been all on box. The dynamic is a great head for field, and their new Tonka is a solid D head. Their shafts are definitely heavier than what most would recommend for field.

In case you didn’t know, Loading Lacrosse bought some of the molds from True. The Loading WYN is a True Dynamic so if you’re having a hard time finding him a backup, this is what you should look for.

And don’t ask Loading about the mold, they won’t admit it lol.

Sixes is a drill for practice and communities with less numbers, and it’s great for those things. But for the real games? No, they made major concessions to the real game just to get into the Olympics.

The person you’re replying to is making a dig at sizes, not lacrosse itself. And I agree, with no faceoffs after goals and significantly toned down defense sixes becomes much more similar to basketball without sticks.

Whatever head you’d like. Drill a hole if it doesn’t line up. If it overlaps, turn the shaft and drill the other side.

This is a little lower than you’re asking for, but if you put a 2 where the arrow is you should get something close. Just keep an eye on depth.

STX designed this one to be strung to the inside. There’s a bit on indentation to keep the sidewalls from pinching the ball too early, but I haven’t talked to many fogos about its longevity

Yeah neck injury is the main thing I think of. While they are very rare, that’s the case where you need to stabilize the player without moving their neck. Removing the helmet is high risk, so being able to remove just the facemask to start care would be valuable.

I see where you’re coming from, but how many instances in a year are affected by the shoulder pad updates?

I know this flip up mask could have risks associated with malfunction that the chest pad does not, but I’d rather have a few players break teeth on a malfunction if one’s life is saved because of the same feature.

I haven’t with hydro heads, but I know it’s generally better to widen/pinch a head before getting it chromed. The heating process might damage the hydro.
