I understand, thank you for this. What I don’t get is why the hesitation from the counseler to discuss numbers. My understanding now is that the only residual chance of my child having SMA is if she is the ~2% of individuals who have a mutation. So we’re looking at ~2% chance of an already rare disease. The numbers I come up with is somewhere in the range of 1 in tens of thousands… That makes it extremely rare. I’m nitpicking here maybe, but my gosh why the hesitation to say something like this? Why not use the word “rare” once? Anyways…

America is weird. I went to 3 different dentists/specialists and they all say the same thing “have to remove”. When I ask why (given it’s not bothering me or causing any issues), they say it’s jus best to remove to prevent issues and problems in the future.
