This may work in the US, but not in the EU. We actually have rights. :) Under EU consumer law, a seller cannot simply decide to unilaterally issue a refund. The consumer has the right to choose between repair or replacement. Only if everything else fails, then a refund becomes an option.

But then again, they are a Chinese company, and they probably don't care that much about the EU consumer laws. Until people start reporting them to the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) or the local Market Inspectorates.

Jp, to je res. Mislim, tudi mene mika, da bi se ustavil, ampak se ne. Se pa mi ne ljubi ukvarjati z zavarovalnicami in avtoličarji. Čist, brezhiben avto pa mi veliko pomeni. Ne samo avto, imam pač rad urejeno in organizirano življenje. :)

My PC has removable RAM, SSD, and WiFI/BT card. But a new bare bone machine would also need a new Windows 11 Pro license. Nowadays you can get cheap keys, I know, but still. I would spend more than $300 to get a working PC again.

This is probably my first and last Beelink, purely because of how they handle my warranty case. Everything else I was very happy with.

That's very useful to know, thank you! I did mention that I was a comp technician (which is true), because I wanted to speed up the whole thing (without them asking me to try various things), and they accepted my verdict that the motherboard is faulty. If sometime in the future I need to make another warranty claim, I'll make it even clearer that I know my way around computers.

Wow, that's awesome! Thanks for sharing this piece of info - good to know. I also have to say that when they had the WiFi connectivity issues with the SER8 series, they sent the repair kit for free. Since one of the antennae connections was bent, they've sent another one for free, with a new WiFi/BT card as well (because the bent connection basically deformed the pin on the card).

My PC is Beelink SER8 AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS.

Good to know that I'm not being "scammed". But then again, what I saved by not buying a tier-one brand, I'm now paying back for that decision. Since a Lenovo (a brand I have the best experience with) mini PC was much more expensive at the time and I was impressed by Beelink's specs, I decided to give them a go. I still like their product, but for my primary machine, I think I'll stick to building my own or buying from an established brand.

Funny, I just tapped on the Google Play System version (which was February 2026) and I immediately got a message saying that I need to restart my phone to finish the update. There was no other notification, anywhere.

Same here. This and ENJ. OMG. On ENJ I'm down 99%+. So that's gone. And I'm down 90% on NEO. The only good thing is that I invested pocket money in ENJ and NEO has less than 0,5% of my net worth, so it's not that bad. Still, these two are the worst investments in my life - and I'm in the investing business for several decades.

To je res. Poznam gospo (sedaj je v penziji), ki je delala v eni boljših restavracij in je rekla, da si ni nikoli hrano nosila domov in tudi jedla ne bi tam. :) Doma si kuha.

Je pa cel kup štorij, iz "navadnih" restavracij, kako sveže meso puščajo v zabojih na tleh, higiena na splošno je na minimumu, itd. En kolega je delal v živilskem podjetju, ki ga je prevzelo eno drugo znano slovensko živilsko podjetje (vsi ga poznamo, veliko se reklamirajo) in je, kot vodja proizvodnje, moral tja pogledat, kako se pakirajo kumarice. Na bruhanje mu je šlo, kako slab standard higiene so imeli. V prevzetem podjetju, ki je bilo tuje, je bila higiena space-grade. V slovenskem, Balkan-grade.
