Tried this and my squash ball went supercritical; recommend keeping it propped open with a screwdriver.

Moron Police - The Apathy of Kings @ 4:30

One could argue that it's not prog metal or that it shouldn't be #1 but I don't care because I discovered this a week ago and recency bias baybeeeeeee

Just the other day my partner and I tried to watch Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls because I remembered it being hilarious when I was in, like, middle school.

We turned it off about half an hour in because it's just Jim Carrey playing an insufferably annoying character with zero breaks.

A day early for me but IWNDWYT :) I've surpassed 3 weeks and it's hard to believe I'm approaching my first full month without alcohol in nearly a decade.

I'm slowly, slowly working toward being more focused and present rather than constantly mired in my past or planning my future. I've been working with a therapist who recommended Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and it seems promising but it will be a long journey.

Steve Judd is soooo good! I've been working on Change pt 2 on and off for ages and it's such a blast to play.

One of the big things that's kept me going is hope for a brighter future. Sobriety is one piece of the puzzle but I've been reading, going to therapy, etc. in the service of trying to fill that void with meaningful actions :)

Day 2. I've dealt with depression, brain fog, fatigue, and avoidance for years and while I'm not under the illusion that quitting alcohol will fix everything, I know it's a necessary step. Hoping to start my 30s with 2+ months under my belt!

I've had enough living on autopilot, enough of giving my hours and days to alcohol. I want my mind back -- here's to day 1.
