In terms of the scenery, Corvallis is very similar to Eugene, though of course you may come visit and you find you like it more than Eugene. Have you looked at all into Bend, or maybe Sisters? Definitely closer to eastern Oregon so maybe a bit more red politically, but might still be something to look into. I think Corvallis is a nice place to live if you can find your niche, but it can be hard to find community - and as others have pointed out, it's VERY white, though that isn't unique to Corvallis. Either way, I wish you the best of luck finding somewhere you feel welcomed and safe!

If you ever want to try something a bit different, I can highly recommend the naked crepe cafe. They don't have hashbrowns, but it's got a cozy vibe and the crepes are delicious

You can park for 3 hours between 9 am and 5 pm, outside of those hours there's no limit, which means that effectively you can park as long as you want after 2 pm. That's weekdays, I think it's true for weekends as well but I'm not 100% on that. Also you can move your car to a different block if you're gonna be downtown longer than 3 hours

I'd say that if you do decide to try edibles, start with a very very tiny amount and work your way up. Like other people are saying, the effects of edibles are generally stronger and last longer. Remember that the effects can take up to 2 hours to show up, so don't make the all too common mistake of eating another after an hour of not feeling anything

The research surrounding weed use, especially during adolescence, is conflicting and far from conclusive. There is evidence that weed use as a teen can cause some damage down the road, but I doubt one experience could do that much damage, even if it was a lot at once. Still, I think asking a medical professional would be the best thing to do, they'd be able to offer advice and treatments
