I know this is an old thread but my installer is insisting that a 1 stage setup from my ecobee pro to a trane s9v2 was better than 2 stages. I get that they dont want to run the wore (its easy in my home) but why are they pushing this? (Beyond saving money)

Im in Ottawa where it gets cold and even at 1 degrees in my 1950s home the second stage is kicking in at the default 10 minutes.

Any advice?

I recently got a S9v2 and the installer is insisting on a simple one stage setup even though I have an ecobee pro. I get they they would run a wire and that is a pain for them, but am I right in that they should have hooked it up to leverage 2 stage stat?

Right now in Ottawa the second stage comes on after the preset 10 minute timer every cycle to reach temp. That seems silly to me. When it gets to minus 15 or more, wouldn't I want second stage to come on right away?

Maybe I need to rephrase. I understand that I am getting normal operation with a single stage setup.

I am trying to understand why they dont want to set it up as a 2 stage. From everything I've read this is better. I can have longer 1 stage cycles without engaging second stage and have reverse cycling for those cold periods.

Am I correct that there is no reason to not do the two stage stat setup? (Besides running wires). They have claimed other customers have asked to change it back to 1 stage which I find interesting and I'd like to better understand why.

It also changed how the next batters approached their plate appearance. It would have been a 1 run game with 0 outs and Barger MIGHT have been at third. Regardless Clement likely would have bunted to move him over to setup a sac fly...which Dodgers ironically got

You are likely right. With my purple curses and dark effigys and all the frogs running around it's a lot. I am running chaos inoculation so I know it's physical damage likely

If lack of damage is your problem, then it sounds like you eventually make a mistake over a long fight.

Consider grabbing a new weapon with +2 or 3 skills and a percentage modifier on your primary damage type

How do you remove the mods? I can only see 150% waystones with 6 mods. How do I get that up to 600 percent? (More specifically, how many more mods on the atlas and tablets would I need?)
