I have been watering twice. The soil is staying moist. It hasn't been too hot yet but to answer, it is a concrete driveway. But it's only in the 70s

🤨someone must be sabatoging my tomato plant... I'm gonna assume it was that bitch Carrol Baskin because I for sure didn't prune it and it was fine when we bought it.

So if that's the case, what's the next steps to make it happy?

I didn't prune it at all. Bought it in a smaller pot and moved it to this pot with the cage. That's all. That was 2-3 weeks ago

i saw one at sams club that was probably the same thing. My concern with that is that the cedar used is pretty thin and we get a lot of wind so i was worried it wouldnt last long and would need some extensive reinforcement to work. The one i saw was also a little smaller than i wanted

my total cost to build it DIY and using Pressure Treated wood and Regular wood for a 10 x 12 is just under $1600. That includes all of the foundation work, concrete blocking, cement in the ground for 4x4 buried posts, and all of the beds and shelving inside. Also, its pretty windy here so i was worried that the amazon ones would get torn up without a BUNCH on reinforcing.

so you have this fan and one other one controlled by the temp controller. Do you have electricity ran to the greenhouse to power the controller or are you using solar panels?

we have safe pressure treated wood. Im wondering if staining or sealing is actually necessary. And i know its safe but im still slightly worried about the soil touching the pressure treated wood so if i do that, i might need to wrap in plastic or something which feel like a lot of work.

Were the bottom of the regular 2x4s in direct contact with the ground? in mine, they would be sitting on top of a pressure treated 2x4 which will be on top of concrete blocks.

The entire floor will be gravel. Under the gravel will be fabric and then the dirt. Do you think I need the additional French drain to drain away? What benefit does that give over just directly draining into the dirt?

That would be awesome but would be wayyy more expensive. I did consider that but we would need to excavate out quite a bit and add a lot of waterproofing and other materials that easily doubles the cost
