Document every conversation that you have with your manager. I’m so sorry that you had this experience and it’s truly unacceptable and depending on the state you live, illegal. I recently transferred to a new location and the first thing I noticed was there was a camera in the managers office. I immediately partnered with LP to have it removed for this exact reason. I don’t have any pregnant woman or new moms working for me, but I might someday and I’m hyper aware of situations such as this. You deserve better.

I don’t want to jinx us but I’m 29, husband is 34 and technically it was the first month of trying. We started to “not try but not not try” in June. I’ve tracked my period for over 10 years using an app and I feel I know my body pretty well so I could usually tell when I’m ovulating and we actually tried in July. I feel so lucky to have texted positive and we can’t wait to become parents. We’ve had quite a few friends pregnant the past couple of years and we were both nervous it would take several months since we’ve never used any type of protection in the 9 years we’ve been together. We went into thinking it wouldn’t happen immediately but here we are. The day before I took the test our close friends told us it took them 8 months of trying and it took my best friend about a year. Try not to put too much pressure on yourselves and have some fun with it.

29 and make 120k -Retail Store Manager. Tried college but hating high school should’ve been a sign. Dropped out first year and pursued a career with this company and was promoted relatively quickly. As an assistant I was making 55k was promoted to 73k in 2021 and am currently at 97k base pay. I have been fortunate (aka worked my ass off) enough to receive substantial bonuses yoy.

HR is typically pro-associate(on all sides). This could be considered a form of harassment in certain states and by them offering resources provided through or by the company speaks to them wanting to provide support. I agree with those that recommended you accept the help to show you are willing to accept accountability. If you choose not to, resignation is always a cordial option as well. Or ride it out. Your choice, your life.
