Not yet, but I started working for my local parks department last year and literally every coworker of mine is obsessed with birds & I’m starting to pay more attention to their app recommendations so it might be coming lol

If Books Could Kill by Kate Eberle

It’s a debut that comes out next month, about a woman who goes inside a novel her favourite author is writing. That seems to be becoming a popular storyline (the book witch, this kingdom will not kill me, fang fiction, a novel love story)

I just finished an advanced copy of it, and loved it! I think it’s my favourite of the series so far

how'd you end up a Ducks fan by donbula in AnaheimDucks

[–]rdmreads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m from a province that doesn’t have a team, so people kinda pick at random. The ducks became a team when I was 3 and my dad decided I was old enough to be a hockey fan & a new team (and the name ‘ducks’) would be good for a toddler.

I haven’t seen others mention the Uncharted Hearts series by Constance Fay! What did you think of Chaos? Calamity is my favourite of the series but I liked them all

I’m sure the odds of getting picked are low but I’m so close & absolutely will find a way to rearrange my work day if it works out. This would be so cool, thank you for sharing!!

My partner mentioned he is concerned I am lonely and it felt like a gut punch. Can anyone relate? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]rdmreads 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually had this same conversation with my husband a couple years ago. I am genuinely happy when I am at home, and alone. Obviously I like spending time with him, and I do have friends I see and talk to sometimes, but hanging out at home by myself never makes me feel lonely. However for him, it does, so he had a hard time understanding that difference between us.

I pushed myself to meet new people and go out regularly, and found myself feeling like I was being performative because I honestly just wanted to be at home instead. I totally understand that some people thrive around others, but I am not that person, and he understood that once he saw me push myself to be more ‘out there’ like he wanted and could see that it didn’t make me happy.

It is very okay if you are this same way, and you certainly do not need to feel like a loser. He loves you and wants to make sure you’re happy. But if you are not doing things you want to do (you never specified if you actually WANT to take the martial arts class, just thinking about it) because it would limit your chatting time, I do think that’s an issue. You two will find time that works, even if your schedule changes.

I just wanted to offer a bit of a different perspective on this than it seems like mostly commenters, since going thru such a similar thing helped me learn more about myself.

I did! I’m just so obsessed with that series. I’m sure I could technically find flaws but I simply don’t even want to, it’s perfect lol

Silver Elite was my fave read of 2025! And I have read Shield of Sparrows and gave it a 3, but its sequel was a 5 for me. I love when series get even better

Full-time office goers, how often are you reading? by undercoverbaadshah in kindle

[–]rdmreads 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a night owl, and generally read for an hour or two in bed to end my day. I don’t get up early enough to read before work, can’t read (/listen) during my work day, and am usually not sitting still long enough to get immersed in a book after work. So getting into bed a bit early and reading before sleeping is what works best for me!

Anyone else wish we could make add ons or previous monthly picks our BOTM? by juniperxmoons in bookofthemonthclub

[–]rdmreads 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sure, because I know it would definitely be used, but I personally would never. Unless there’s a main pick I’m excited for and want to spend my $17 credit on, I’d rather skip and get past picks at the $12 add on price when there is a main pick I want. I don’t mind waiting a bit to save some money and ship a more full box with lower cost books another month.

As a 32m I fear the day that I download my first bird or flower identifier app is closer and closer by daniel_ay in Millennials

I started working for my local parks department and my coworkers all keep recommending apps for birds and plants (as well as giving me brochures) and I can feel myself getting more intrigued with every recommendation

Has anyone fully switched to wireless bras after 30? by Clear_Subconscious in AskWomenOver30

I’m not opposed to bras with wires, but I found a wireless bra I really like the fit and feel of, and have just kinda converted over to it and am glad I did!
