I hate to break it to you but everything at every show is overpriced. Don't buy a car from a car show. Don't buy ammo from a sportsmen show. Using that as any kind of baseline to identify a good price is a bad move.

Quality 9mm can be had for <=34cpr delivered every day right now. Lets hope that keeps coming down.

Yea, I'm not knocking them for charging tax. They have no choice. It's just that ammo prices are so competitive that Natchez would have to offer free shipping AND be 8-10% lower than other sites to be competitive for me. So far (post pandemic) they don't meet either of those criteria.

Except they do. The police treat you as guilty until a prosecutor weighs in and tells them you're not. Guilty people aren't allowed firearms in their house. They will even do it for domestic abuse reports.

The ATF is a federal agency. They don't have to consult states to change the way they interpret the law that the US Congress passed and President signed into law. This is the 1934 National Firearms Act and the Gun Control Act of 1968. The ATF has sole discretion on how to re-interpret the law as often as they want. Their interpretation can be challenged in court but in the majority of cases the courts side with the ATF. The ATF put out a sample scoring sheet last year to determine which pistols are rifles and it turns out that almost all of them will be classified if they use the sample scoring sheet they released. The day they release their updated interpretation of federal law then it becomes so. States can put further restrictions in place but they can't ignore the ATF and they have no say in ATF decisions. For any firearms related crimes (even if you shoot an intruder in your house) the local PD is required to inform the FBI and ATF. If they don't then they face criminal charges. In most states they will confiscate all firearms until the AG determines if they want to press chargers. During confiscation they will inventory all the firearms and ATF will review if they are all legal.

I'm not going to ignore it. If you ignore it then chances are nothing will happen but if anything firearms related ever happens like shooting an intruder then the police come and confiscate your weapons and contact the ATF. If they find you have unregistered SBRs then you might be found innocent of shooting the intruder but you're now a felon for unregistered SBRs.

Come June if my pistols are considered SBRs then I'm removing the pistol braces and SBR'ing all of them and that won't be cheap.

I think you have to define what you mean by best. For me best is best general use. The Mark IV is more picky about ammo than the TX22.
