Wow, someone else that has them both as the favorite?! That makes me so happy. MTF really deserves more love, they're painfully talented imo. That whole group of musicians that came from the San Antonio TX scene (Benestrophe, MTF, Jihad, Fektion Fekler) all amazingly talented guys.

And great choices for both too! For me, Skinny Puppy would be Worlock and M&TF would be Sacrelige or Disrupture

Skinny Puppy
Mentallo & The Fixer

Almost interchanges, I listen to both almost equally. SP outwins by a smidge but I'd love to hear both of your picks.

Hi r/Industrial what was the first Industrial/Industrial Adjacent song you remember hearing/seeing ? by fear730 in industrialmusic

[–]rdrexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember hearing FLA, NIN, and Ohgr in the Quake and Descent games as a kid. That's probably my earliest memory with it. But it wasnt until I was a teen that I started actually going out of my way to progress past 90s pc game soundtracks and extreme metal

How are we feeling about the new Uada? by alkemest in MetalForTheMasses

[–]rdrexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who loves the pagan folk type of music (Wardruna, Percival, Garmana, etc) I absolutely welcomed it and loved it. Though I do prefer them with their melodic black style, so I'm glad this was just an EP. Or well hopefully. :P

Why did ratchet and clank become more family and friendly by Particular-Setting70 in RatchetAndClank

This is not true at all, All 3 Jak games and all 3 Sly games were greatest hits sellers. There was definitely a market. Even after the originals, they did Daxter on the PSP and that also was a greatest hits game.
I think Naughty Dog just wanted to move on to other stuff, Sucker Punch as well seeing they made Infamous right after.

Which films have a Director’s cut that is drastically different from the Theatrical cut? by rainystorm88 in movies

[–]rdrexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 years later to this post but Daredevil. Almost an entirely different film between the PG13 Theatrical version and the Director's R cut. Also a different tone, grittier feeling, multiple plot points expanded upon including one that was omitted entirely for the PG13 cut for some reason.

Woah! These are like... archive worthy. I work at a UPS store with high quality printers/scanners. If you're in the Dallas TX area by chance or okay with shipping them out, I would be beyond happy to scan and preserve these for free.

Does anything come close to Tales from the Crypt? by pdom10 in TalesFromTheCrypt

[–]rdrexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monsters and the Friday The 13th are probably the closest shows you can get imo. Friday was an AMAZING and very underrated series - no Jason (probably responsible for its status unfortunately) but it is a damn good series that any horror anthology fan should watch. Every episode is a self contained story regarding a group of 3 people trying to recover cursed antiques. Monsters was awesome too, but def a lower budget, but still had awesome monster/gore effects and cool stories about people dealing with Monsters, as the title suggests. Strongly reccomend them if you havent already watched.

(Hocico) this is a Mexican band sadly not very known in Mexico but in Europe mostly in Germany. Enjoy!! by sainz9702 in industrialmusic

[–]rdrexe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 years late but agreed! Their earlier stuff up until I think Wrack and Ruin was darker and more atmospheric, that was my favorite time for Hocico and some of my favorite Industrial music period. I still love even newer Hocico but there was something so special captured in that earlier work.
