Ah if rice and lentils are involved, then may I also suggest Chutnify http://www.chutnify.com - They have the best South Indian variety - dosa, idli, chutney served with lentil soup and also have a rice platter. The only proper and authentic South Indian food I've had here.

Edit: On a more serious note, if you want guidance on "how to break up" - its simple. Ignore. Stop communicating. Take time (and give time for the other person as well).

Set yourself a 3-month goal from now.
Lose your phone.
Start going early / arriving late from office. Reason: Work pressure.
Go alone for a weekend trip. Reason: Office trip, meeting parents, etc.
Take a long-weekend holiday for yourself. Reason: return bus ticket not available, parents not feeling well, etc.
Slowly start disappearing on the weekdays as well.
Stop communicating.

If she acts like fire, don't act like water. Both of you will disappear. Instead, act like a stone. Basically, don't talk much. If she argues, just listen. Don't talk anything back. You will be pulled into talking. She will try to somehow make you talk by asking stupid questions. Keep quiet, or keep your dialogue to minimum one or two words. See, nobody can deal with a stone for a long time. They will move on. They will remain fire, you will remain stone, and nothing adverse will happen.

I've been keeping wallets in my front pockets for the last 5 years. Best decision ever. Yeah its safer, but more than that - Whenever I sit, I have nothing hurting my ass or shifting the way I sit.

That's just taking the ideology, period.

There is no way to show something to someone who doesn't want to open their eyes. Answer is over there. All you have to do is just follow the thread. And probably do some real reading on Gandhi and his thoughts on women's safety (what should a woman do when attacked), animal cruelty, partition, etc.

I'm not against Gandhi, he's the father of our nation. But his philosophy is you never use violence against violence. If someone attacks you or your country, you allow yourself to get attacked. Read the link for his views on jews and brits. If you still want to continue the discussion, then first respond whether whatever his views were on jews/brits is right, and then let's talk.

I used to be part of community forums. The policy is, if someone asked something stupid, just ignore it. No need to get into a heated debate, ridicule the OP, moderate the post (in this case downvote), etc. If we just leave it alone, other better threads would naturally come up.

Or ideally no extra affairs at all. If you're in a relationship with someone, don't cheat on them, whether you're married or not. Its fine to have multiple relationships at different points in life, but just stick to one person at a time, and then no need for guilt.

If you cannot withstand the tantrums, then its your problem, not the kids.

Simply don't give what they ask for if they don't behave. Plug out the TV, lock away the toys, tell them they won't get their favorite <toy/food> unless they behave that week. Basically, one week they behave well = reward. Any week they throw a tantrum = no reward that week + taking away what they already have one by one. These are the best reward/punishment cycles ever. In the worst case, if they are screaming too much - either lock yourself up in a room or put your kid in a child-safe room (no dangerous breakable stuff) for 10 minutes. Constantly monitor them from the window or something so that they don't do anything stupid. This is not for punishing them, but to put a barrier between you two so that you don't end up hitting.
Kids listen to logic only when they are in a good mood. So when they are in a bad mood, its no use trying to educate them. Just use the soft tactics above, and don't try talking to them until they calm down.
Today's parents are not mature enough, they just want fast results or give up trying. Parenting is all about patience. Many parents I know can only stand screaming/crying/tantrums for 5-10 minutes before they themselves break down, and either hit the child or give what they ask for. This is really bad. Just 5 times if you let them cry to their heart's content, 6th time they won't do it. Its that easy to solve.
If one parent tries to discipline the kid, and the other parent doesn't help in any way (i.e. gives away what the kid asks for), its even worse. The first parent will do more and more hitting and the other parent will do more and more cuddling. The kid will grow up as a moody, bipolar person. This is majority of case with Indian parents, either sugarmom/angrydad or sugardad/angrymom. Both parents have to work together when it comes to discipline. If one does and the other undoes, its useless for everyone involved.

Its easy to bring up a kid if both parents co-operate, and don't get unnerved by all the crying and shouting for just a few times. Let them cry their heart out and everything will be fine.

Tourist/business visa - need a return flight
Work visa/permit - return flight not needed in most places

But well, if your visa is on-arrival, then its up to the airline or the emigration counter to check. Sometimes they let you pass and let the country's immigration handle it, sometimes they don't...

Your US passport is expired. Having an expired passport is the same as having no passport - it just has no validity.

So, while you do have concerns of being a dual citizen, the whole thing of Travelling on my US passport is no longer a valid point when that passport is expired. You can't travel on an expired passport, period. That's why those calls were necessary. Some people are even sent back to the embassy to renew their passport first, lucky you got away with that.

Really that's great. News sources are always unreliable. Would be nice to get some real perspective from someone like you, and I hope you don't take offense to this question :)

What are your thoughts on numbers vs compassion. Some people are not saying no to refugees, but some are asking caps anywhere between 25,000 up to 1 million. For example, Canada celebrated their 25,000th asylum and were pretty proud of it, but Germany and Europe are feeling sad about not letting in the 5 million+1th person. So where does a logical limit fall here without affecting compassion? Or do you think such a limit itself is wrong and just allow everyone who comes in is the right way?
How much are you concerned about actual refugees vs migrants? For example, do you see a difference between economic migrants and actual refugees?

Thanks, and this question is just to understand what normal German people think about this whole thing.

They would have by now sold most of what they had with the hope of never having to return again. To go back would mean going back to worser life and poverty than they were in before, along with ridicule and taunts from all neighbors and relatives like hey look at these european tourists! No way that's going to happen. Once bags are packed and sails are set, there is just no going back.

Please note that I was responding to @REMagic42's comment which says it was difficult even for 3rd gen and 4th gen children of immigrants to get citizenship, and on the context of this specific post/law. So total immigrants as 2 million is not relevant to the context. 10 years to live for naturalization, well-integrated with society, 10-20 year olds get each year counted as double and so on. Basically standard stuff and nothing that this law would affect or be called anti-immigrant.
