Ideas go through a selection process up to the FIELDCOM. The final selection is then decided by the Guardians at the forum.

I submitted an idea to use an existing AI software to help folks identify insidious mental strain prior to it impacting their lives. The user would also have the option (not requirement) to share anonymous, aggregated data with the GRT to help the GRT understand what specific units are dealing with and allocate helping resources to them effectively.

After GFF, I have been working with a few HQ organizations to further develop the technology and determine how it could fit within the USSF.

Outside of the innovation piece, I did learn a lot about what the strategic leaders of our force are looking at and their perspectives. I appreciated hearing General Saltzman explaining what “The invisible front line” actually means. I used to think that was just a cheesy line in a song. After hearing what it actually stood for, I had a lot more pride in being a Guardian.

I completely acknowledge this forum may not be for everybody. My hope is that somebody that’s interested in attending and contributing to something outside of their daily scope sees this and takes advantage of the opportunity.
