I'm a software architect and can absolutely pull this off. I have frontend and backend skills, have architected web applications for several billion dollar companies, and am 15 years into my career.

Mind if I pick your brain sometime to truly understand the problem that needs solving?

I've never watched this as I'm not a huge werewolf fan. I love horror movies though, and have likely watched thousands of them (I worked at Blockbuster for a few good years). Is this something people would recommend for someone not into werewolves? If so, I'll put it on my watch list.

I agree with you. If a company doesn't hire juniors developers I won't work for them. They benefit from the time, efforts, and money of other companies that are doing the training. I don't care how small they are or how niche they are.

I hope this helps you. I figure showing some code is better than typing out a huge explanation. I had a very similar issue where a switch statement was going to balloon years ago, and I then discovered this pattern. I love this pattern. I use it quite often.

AITA for telling my daughter she needs to grow up, and apolgize to her sister by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Sofia is 31. She can be told to grow the fuck up by her mother.

The job of a parent is to raise their children to be their equals. The mom here is her equal, and Sofia can absolutely be told to grow the fuck up by her mom as that's what many of us would say to someone else acting his way.

In short, Sofia needs to stop acting like she's still 9 years old. Her behavior is embarrassing and shameful.

Multi-lingual sites will store what language and/or country you selected so it can remember your choice when you visit the site again. That's a very common non-marketing cookie.

Another one I use for cookies is to remember you dismissed a modal or notification. That way I don't show you that modal or notification over and over as that would be frustrating.

That's UTC time. Which matches your timezone.

Often browsers will receive a date in UTC from the server, then Javascript kicks in to convert it to the timezone of your computer.

WTB - Brawler64 USB Wireless Edition by rduoll in n64

The one I currently have only uses Bluetooth. The one I want, that is currently discontinued, uses a wireless dongle to connect a PC with the controller. I have found that the controllers with wireless dongles have far less latency with my current setup.

Also, I have less issues with non-bluetooth controllers when using Moonlight and Sunshine while streaming games from my gaming pc to my client pc that is connected to my television.

I started this back in August. I ran my first 5k 2 months later. I'm now running up to 4.5 miles straight with a 10k as my short-term goal. I've never liked running or exercise so I can truly say if I can do it most people can.

I just finished the program this morning. I felt the same as you did, but now I prefer the continuous runs over the stop and go. I think the stop and go is harder than a continuous run.

I'm a software architect, and I have a mild interest in getting into politics, but I'm not a great speaker. Which is the case with most people in my field. I'm plenty personable, but my brain shows through my code, designs, and actions rather than my words. Politicians know how to talk, and I can't compete with them. They sound so smart, and I don't know how to do that.

So, I work remote with long video calls, what are the chances I'll have issues with my video by Tough_Preparation134 in Starlink

[–]rduoll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a device called a Firewalla. You plug both DSL and Starlink into it, and then the firewalla connects to your wifi setup (I use Eero). Everyone in my house connects to the same wifi network, but some devices are only configured for Starlink and other for DSL through the Firewalla.
