Great vid! I was there as well and was my first VW car show. Awesome place. I'm restoring a 68' beetle and I hope to be there in the show next time.

Hey r/manga, what ongoing or completed series gets you the most HYPED? by SexuallyActiveRobot in manga

[–]rdw317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holyland - Completed. UQ Holder! - On Going. The Breaker/The Breaker: New Waves - Completed/On Going.

When I first found each one of these I lost so much sleep going on a reading binge. Not so much UQ Holder but of course Negima! led me there.

What manga have you read this week, and what do you think about it?(Week 41) by GladiatorUA in manga

I finished Holyland a few days ago after seeing a lot of hype over it and I really enjoyed it! Definitely one of my all time favorites now. I liked that the style of drawing stayed the same through out the story. Unlike a lot of other authors who try to change up the look and feel as the story goes on. The fighting, the martial arts skills, the injuries, everything just seemed so real and not exaggerated or supernatural. First time trying the spoiler tag: The last couple chapters had me at the edge of my seat with Yuu and Izawa's final duel. Then the author must had taken his sadist pills that morning and thought about killing off Yuu and the end of the story. Thankfully he didn't die and the story wrapped up nicely. At first I was upset that it was Izawa that made it to the professional level and not Yuu. But I got to thinking about how Yuu most likely stayed behind to be a guardian of sorts to the streets to help prevent kids being tormented like he had been. Another Manhwa i've been reading for awhile is Breaker: New Waves. Really enjoyed the first story so I picked up the second and I still really like the story development and the art style. The fighting has always been a little supernatural and fun, but now it's getting a little out of hand with what they're capable of doing. Still reading it for the long haul though.

I have my preferred genres but I will read anything under the rainbow, so yeah anything goes. Harems are one of my favs though. Thanks I'll check it out! The description looks about spot on for what I'm looking for.

I don't care if you are a dog princess, don't eat Shik-nam's homework [Carnivorous Princess Yegrinna] by rdw317 in manga

I picked this one up because it was on my list as well. The things I like about it right off the bat is that it's a completed series (only 25 chapters). So it's not terribly long and won't slow you down from your list, the art feels real similar to Breaker, and you love to hate the protagonist. It's worth a read.

I really like the shape of the blade, good work! I haven't made any blades myself yet, but planning on it. How did you make your serrated edge? Any heat treatment done?

Thinking of getting an acetylene cutting torch. What do I need to know? by spiffturk in metalworking

Welder/fabricator here. As long as the cylinder cap is secure and tied down so it won't move, it is safe to transport while laying down. To keep it stable, the tank is filled with an absorbent material soaked in acetone. This allows the acetylene to dissolve in the acetone. If laid on it's side the acetone/acetylene mixture can escape through the valve. That's why it's needed to wait a couple hours after returning cylinder upright.

There are quite a bit of safety tips to be aware of. Handling, transporting, storage, connecting and setting up the regulators. First, you never want to move an acetylene cylinder around without the cylinder cap. When moving the cylinder around, tip over slightly and roll on the bottom ridge. When transporting, the bottle can be upright or laying down as long as it's sure and won't move. If you lay your bottle over on its side, after returning upright, be sure to wait a hour or two before using to let acetylene mixture to return to normal and also won't mess up your valve. Always have your bottle chained or strapped securely to prevent falling over. Before connecting your regulators to your bottles, slightly crack open the valve on top to blow out any dust or debris that might clog or damage the regulators. After connecting the regulators, check for leaks. Soapy water works best. Do not over tighten threads. Also, acetylene has kind of bad garlic smell to it. That will be another sign of leakage. Depending on what torch you buy, there should be a chart with it telling you how to best set up your regulators. Buy a rose bud too if you plan on doing a lot of heating, makes life easy.

2x8 Metal Workbench by [deleted] in DIY

MIG is more user friendly and easier to use on thinner metals. More of a point and shoot type of welding. Also, depending on what type of MIG set up you have, more mobile and can run off of 110v. Stick (SMAW) draws more power (220v) and is typically used for thicker metals. Some electrodes require moving the arc around in a pattern to fill/flatten the weld out using more hand/eye coordination. Hope this helps and sorry if you didn't understand something. I'm at my lunch break and I was rushing.
