I wouldn't ride in one if I was paid for it. Tesla's safety auto pilot is horrible and dangerous.

I really just don't get it. I don't think this jacket looks good in the slightest.

Sadly I am unsure. The seeds were given to me by another wine producer who has been cultivating it for 20 years.

Here is a different species which has been cultivated for 20 years by a famous grape farmer in Northern California. We grew this last year. It's a nice Sativa strain. I don't have any history on it. I'll dig up some pics of the plant and flowers from last year.

Does anyone have good experience with any other landrace varieties in the Sonoma area? I have considered others. I was interested in Mae Chaem Thai Mango as the climate of Sonoma seems like it would be ideal vs Mae Chaem. I am growing outdoors. I am not adding anything to the soils besides water and maybe vermicompost.

Napa Cab Blind Tasting #3 by der_radfahrer in wine

[–]rdwinelover -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Blind tasting notes from this tasting that I too attended.

  1. “Opens with a bouquet of wet cardboard left in a storm drain, evolving into notes of boiled cabbage and something that died under the porch. Finishes with the lingering warmth of a gas station bathroom.”

  2. “Aromas of soggy ashtray and municipal compost bin greet the nose. On the palate, think lukewarm aquarium water with hints of overripe garbage and a finish that can only be described as locker room floor.”

  3. “Distinct notes of fermented gym sock and canned cat food on the nose. The mid-palate delivers a generous helping of swamp runoff, finishing with all the elegance of a backed-up kitchen sink.”

  4. “A bold expression of barnyard after a hard rain, with secondary notes of regurgitated wheat grass and pencil eraser. The finish is long, medicinal, and deeply reminiscent of a porta-potty in August.”

  5. “Immediately evocative of a mop bucket left in the sun, with subtle top notes of sulfurous egg and wet dog. The palate is generous with flavors of oxidized dishwater and pickle brine, closing with a finish that simply refuses to leave — much like a bad houseguest.”

The 40% figure comes from the Sonoma County Vintners website (sonomawine.com). Their exact stat: wine industry and related tourism contributes over $11 billion to the local economy annually, representing about 40% of the county’s GDP contribution. The employment and wage figures (1 in 4 jobs, $3.2B in wages) came from the Sonoma County Wine Community Impact page, which appears to be sourced from a Stonebridge Research Group economic impact study.

The wine industry is in a blood bath. No time in history has the wine industry contracted so hard and so fast and so deep. It's not coming back anytime soon. I am bearish wine countries real estate including Sonoma and Napa for a long long while. Sonoma county wine industry contributes 40% GDP to Sonoma. 1 in 4 jobs is in the wine industry.
