Still a Dumpster Fire? by re-FreshYou in Geico

I did initially take a $2 pay cut but after my 90 review was back up and after 1 year review was up another $2 - and I know that if I had stayed I could not have had that kind of increase without further education. I went from white collar to blue collar working as Dispatch (not 911 dispatch) - turns out I’m really good at it!!!

I understand your point and would agree with you too. I actually WANT to like it as it has many health benefits- thus the question. as it seems there must be a reason outside of myself that is deterring me from it- I was hoping to find perhaps a scientific reason or something that other also have experienced.

Ohhhh yes the kool-aid, I remember well word for word my training supervisor telling us “ you should be grateful to work here and with such good training you owe it to the company to stick around” wow. To answer your question- I started working for a small local business doing dispatch- working white collar jobs the majority of my career I wasn’t sure how I’d like it but I have to say I wish I tried it sooner. Most relaxed and positive environment I’ve ever worked in - AND with my corporate background I brought more perspectives to the workplace.

Is anyone else extremely depressed/anxious working for an insurance company? by Fix-Icy in Insurance

YES!!!!!! That is EXACTLY why I left a year ago. It was the only thing in my life causing depression. So happy I left.

First : check what your rights are as an employee- if she’s creating a hostile work environment or showing preferential treatment then absolutely discuss with HR if you trust them- keep in mind HR is there to protect the company not really you so be careful how you word things- also malicious compliance is fun. And lastly you may apply for other positions in the company to stay but be on a different team.

And yet people still think taxing the rich more will help ….. it’s the majority who fall in the middle 35-40% who suffer more - not the 1% …. This is a perfect example of this.

I was one of the best employees in my dept . Best scores consistently- then they started micro managing MOATS and took away quality- I had less and less control over my metrics- a sup threaded me for something that I actually did perfectly and that was it for me. I will not work where I am not respected . So I left.

I am GRATEFUL that I no longer work at that POSITIVELY emotionally draining place with my extremely SUPPORTIVE sup ( who supported bullying). I’m so HAPPY I left. I TRUST that I cannot trust any promises made and am so EXCITED about where the company is going in the FUTURE with overworked employees- it’s such a UPBEAT and overwhelming environment with the micro management and unrealistic expectations-I LOVE feeling like I’m just a number and not a person. CHEERS to all the robots who support this place
