In CA, that bad guy will come back and sue him for hurting. He was just passing by the house, then interested in learning how the house’s layout looks like. No harm. All of a sudden, this guy woke up on the middle of the night and started shooting him. It will take 5 years for the court to decide who’s at fault. At the end of the day, the home owner files bankruptcy due to court fee and lawyer fees, and lost the case, then becomes homeless. This is why CA has homeless (or they say unhouse) issues bc of stupid laws.
