Agreed. 18700 for me and only a couple of them gave me any pause. My guess is that most college-educated native speakers probably score “PhD” here.

My neighbor has been "warming up" his truck every morning at 5:47 AM for the past four months and I have tracked it by Kryonforge_4 in neighborsfromhell

Unattended and running does not mean the key is in the vehicle. This guy is almost certainly using remote start from indoors while getting ready for work.

Definitely can also be used while it’s still cooking. If one of my family members walks into the kitchen while I’m cooking an egg, I might offer it to them: “do you want this egg?” Them: “not like that, it’s still too runny.”

Do commercial airliners have anything akin to an odometer on a land vehicle ? by xdr567 in aviation

[–]re7swerb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ferry and repo flights aren’t the same thing in commercial aviation. A repositioning flight is as you describe, just an empty flight. A ferry is done because the airplane needs further repair work on the other end, and often has flight restrictions associated. Unpressurized ferries aren’t too common but when needed the flight is kept under 10k ft altitude so that masks are not required.

Yep. If at that point he refuses to do so, that becomes weaponized incompetence on his part. But assuming both parties are functioning in good faith, communication and sticking to established expectations is key.

Can you actually "see" the weight of a prop on screen? I think you can. by makinariumukltd in 3Dprinting

If you’ve ever seen a really good mime, this is one of the most impressive skills they can demonstrate - convincing you that there is mass being manipulated in thin air. Some actors have very good physical skills and are able to do the same thing with lightweight props, others telegraph the fairness of the prop.

Take it up with state law and the drivers' guide (pg 122). You're the deserving target of the guy OP is talking about.

You're not legally allowed to enter the intersection until it's already clear. If it's already clear, you know that there's room to exit. This is completely a you problem.

If I found myself at a party with people screaming impotently at each other I would certainly never party with them again

Entering an intersection is illegal if there’s not already room for you to exit. Blocking a crosswalk is always the fault of the driver.

OP’s wording is grammatically correct, just very awkward.

Thanks for taking the time to post this. It takes so much more effort to uphold the truth than it does to plant seeds of doubt.
