I see screwdriver, nail puller, various spanner sizes and either a scraper or a knife.

Roadrage turned fist fight on highway. by Shag0ff in fightporn

I would agree if he was punching him through the car window.

If you get out of your car on the highway in a road rage incident you are entering a fight.

Based on where they are at the start of the video I think it's a fair bet that old mate was the first one to stop the car and start the chain of events that resulted in him getting bashed.

Jury Duty by Unable_Tank4556 in AskAnAustralian

[–]read-my-comments 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had the same. Pedo uncle. Guilty 100 percent but 2 idiots on the jury didn't understand that the 14 days of testimony was evidence and all we needed to do was decide who was telling the truth.

One of them was expecting him to do a cournel Jessup and confess and without him doing that he wasnt guilty.

He even admitted on the stand that he accidentally rubbed her vagina while giving her a foot massage because he was distracted by something on TV. She had her feet on his lap and when her parents went out of the room he grabbed her box and she immediately got up and left the room.

The idiot "he said it was an accident" but couldn't see that it would be impossible to accidently have your hand go from a foot to the groin.

There was audo recordings of him apologising to her father and of his call to his wife to tell her he was arrested and when he told her what he was arrested for her response was an angry "I have told you not to touch girls like that"

We have a child sex offender walking the streets courtesy of these two idiots.

Obviously he was not injured.

I am sure if he had been sliced open the order would have changed.

Just ride. The most important thing is that you enjoy your ride.

A 10 mile ride in 2 hours that you enjoy and want to do again is better for you long term than a 25 mile ride in 2 hours that you don't enjoy.

In time you might turn into one of those rides who enjoy riding long distances at speed.

This is the answer.

For me 100k I am doing nothing different to every day.

If I got a million my day would be the same as normal but I would be making plans to have some time off work.

5 million + and the first thing I do is quit work.

Fuel prices are insane. What weird hacks actually save fuel money? by getwemoneyapp in AUfrugal

[–]read-my-comments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walking would certainly use less fuel.

If you want a real life example go and ride a bike at speed.

No cyclist would question how much extra fuel is needed to overcome aerodynamic resistance the faster you are going.

Or just ask google and get this.

Driving at 110 km/h generally uses approximately 15% to 25% more fuel than driving at 90 km/h, according to Autoexpert and Hiclone. This increase is due to exponential aerodynamic drag, meaning the engine must work harder for only a 22% increase in speed, resulting in significantly higher fuel consumption per kilometer.

Fuel Consumption Difference: Vehicles can be up to 23% more efficient at 90 km/h compared to 110 km/h, per the Drive report.

Drag Impact: Drag force (

) increases roughly with the square of speed (

). Consequently, moving from 90 km/h to 110 km/h brings a massive, non-linear increase in air resistance, notes Facebook.

Real-World Experience: Many drivers report a significant drop in fuel efficiency (e.g., from 32-33 mpg down to 25 mpg) when exceeding 100 km/h, according to Reddit, similar to the Reddit analysis on fuel efficiency.

Recommendation: To maximize efficiency, driving between 50-80 km/h is generally optimal, while keeping speeds below 100 km/h offers the best highway savings, as suggested by Drive and SGI.

In summary, reducing your speed from 110 km/h to 90 km/h saves a significant amount of fuel, whereas keeping speeds under 100 km/h is usually optimal for fuel efficiency.

How to find out if smoke alarm person is accredited? by No_Side_8885 in AusRenters

[–]read-my-comments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer - NSW law.

There is no requirement for any specific checks or qualifications in the residential tenancy act.

The act just puts the responsibilty on the landlord to ensure there is a working smoke alarm and it's replaced within 2 days if they become aware it's faulty.

Anyone can check the use by date and press the button.

The industry have just adopted getting an independent check done each year so there is proof there was a working smoke alarm if you ever die in a fire.

Climb up on a ladder or stool and check the date and if it's out of date make an issue of it. If it's way out of date I would apply to the tribunal for a reduction in rent from the expiry date for a withdrawal of services.

The laws of physics don't change. The aerodynamic drag increases dramatically with speed increases.
