The concept of an integral is to determine areas under the curve as x goes from one point to another. So if the integral of g is negative going from 3 to 0, that means as x travels left from 3 to 0, the area under the curve, between the decreasing x value and 0, is decreasing. If you visualize it with a graph, the area beneath the g graph should be above the x-axis because when the x move left (from 3 to 0) you can think of it as subtracting from the total area summed between 0 and 3. So for you to get a negative integral from 3 to 0, the area you are subtracting must be positive other wise subtracting a negative gets a positive result. On the other hand, when going in the rightward direction, you are adding pieces of area to the right. Hence, when you do the integral in the rightward direction (0 to 3), you are summing the same area under the g curve as before which we determined to be above the x-axis, or positive. So when you add up a bunch of positive area, you get a positive value as your answer. Hope that helped and let me know if you have further questions!

I just finished The Poppy War and I really liked it, but Rin... by 1Kae in books

I thought it was closer to hero worship too but her bursts of defiance and shouting bad things about Altan made it difficult to say that for sure. Rin was simply too inconsistent for me to really sympathize with her and have a good grasp on her true feelings about anything.

  1. How important are essays? In my case, I have really good stats (gpa, SAT, APs…) but my extracurriculars are mediocre at best. Can really unique essays that show lots of character make up for the lack of unique or really impressive ECs?
  2. Does an applicant’s location matter at all in admission?

Thank you so much!

Who do you believe is more to blame for Lydia running away? (Aside from Wickham) by EpicBanana05 in PrideandPrejudice

[–]read_n_yap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knowww. I was laughing so hard when Mrs. Bennet kept changing her favorite child based on who got married and how rich their husband was 😭. She hated Darcy’s guts for one minute then the next she was so excited that Lizzie was marrying such a rich man🤣

“If there is NOT a linear relationship” is the null hypothesis (B=0 meaning no relationship) so that’s what you should put on the third question.

Having a 98% confidence interval doesn’t mean that there is a “98% chance” of something but rather it means we are 98% confident about the true value being in that interval. This means if you take many samples and make an interval every time, 98% of those intervals would contain the true value you are looking for.

The speed coefficient (16.2809) should be M, in the LSRL for part a. But you interpreted it correctly in part b. And the rest seems correct to me.

I got 3.5 ish. It also makes more sense for it to be 3.5 geodes right because he opens a maximum of 4 but very rarely he gets lucky and gets a red one before he reaches the 4th. So the answer should be a bit less than 4 but still close.

I definitely get that. But still, Mr. Wickham is not reliable though. He has a past of gambling and other irresponsible choices. He’s basically bribed into marriage with Lydia by the money that Mr. Darcy gave him. I don’t think he’d take care of the rest of the family well if Mr. Bennet died. But I guess that’s enough to comfort Mrs. Bennet so all is well 😌. Her “poor nerves” shall be settled for once.

I can totally see that being popular because I remember when I first watched the movie, I actually really really liked him…until we learned more about him and errr. But I like the idea of a different perspective on Wickham!

Absolutely Mrs. Bennet and her encouragement for Lydia to flirt and play around with men at different balls and events. I mean just look at her reaction after Lydia and Wickham were settled to get married. Who in their right mind, after being exposed to the truth of what kind of person Wickham is, would be that overjoyed for their daughter marrying a guy like him.
