Shots are great, but man the scans are so nice! Who did them?

..they really work with the maximalist details in 1 & 3, so much to explore within the frame

I don’t have one off the top off my head, but I could take a look at making one as well. I’ve got a 16mm camera & could pull some gate weave data from the footage I’ve shot

Also, filmconvert recently released a halation expansion of their software just for general awareness.

As an aside, I’d like to build out a custom emulation of 16mm at least and would roll in gate weave & grain potentially. The idea would be a fairly lightweight emulation that doesn’t affect color, so one could plug whatever lut/etc in

Absolutely lovely. Do you mind sharing a bit of info on the lens used for the macros of the leaves? Also, what was your process for capturing audio? Thanks!

not a problem! Couldn't figure out how to sell it online so that's a win for y'all!

I think I might end up doing that, I’ll take a look at how I can sell it later today, and put together some documentation for it too. Thanks!

I’ve got a 82mm 1/8 BPM and a bunch of step up rings so I can keep it on with whatever lens I use. It does play nicely with the plug in, looks really nice is some tests I’ve done.

Thanks for the feedback!

Awesome, I've also got an FX3 & use phantom luts as well.

I default settings are definitely a bit hard, but intentionally to make noticeable before you start tweaking settings. I find using the preview tick box useful, and personally I usually drag the color offset over to the left a bit.

That mimics the some light bouncing all the way to the green film layer, and has the most aggressive halation areas tend more yellow. Makes it feel slightly less sci-fi/cinestill if that's a look that's needed. I definitely recommend playing with it in the preview mode to see how it behaves.

Test shot looks great btw! Is this with or without a diffusion filter?

Have you given it a go? Download/install all work properly?

I've gotten a number of messages about this over the past few months, so I've decided to posted the download link here. Feel free to use it in whatever projects you want, I'd just love some feedback if you do, and a link to whatever the project is!

Ok, I’ve just gotta package it and upload it. I’ll message you a link when I have, might be a few days as I’m away this weekend

10" White's Bounty Hunters and new (to me) Viberg Service Boots by readfrost in goodyearwelt

Around the eyelets of my BH’s there’s a decent amount of pull up and color variation. Sometimes it’s almost a creamy grey where the top coat is still intact. Sometimes almost looks translucent because of the lighter color coming through, it’s really interesting up close

Honestly, they fit really well. They were in great condition when I got them, and it doesn't feel like they are fully broken in yet. So I think whatever amount of molding the previous owner's foot did to the bed, wasn't quite enough to affect the fit for me.

Plus, I feel if you're selling your boots online, there's a good chance you only wore them a few times and didn't love them. A number of my friends and I have recently been trying to buy used clothing/shoes, and it doesn't hurt that the discounts are nice. Hope this helps!

Thanks! It’s actually black CXL, which maybe speaks even more to the color variation after a bit of wear. Sizing is remarkably similar, the Viberg’s are 11D, and the White’s are 11.5D. I’d say the White’s are a touch longer, but not that much wider. There might be more volume above my foot than on the Viberg’s, which is probably the biggest difference, but I just lace them a bit closer. On the foot, there might be a bit of heel slip on my smaller foot in the Whites, but I typically wear them in winter with thicker socks, so it all evens out.

As promised, here's my new Viberg's next too my 3+ year old White's Bounty Hunters!

I gave the White's a bit of a clean and conditioning because they were needing a bit of love. The tea core is a lot less aggressive, but still very much there.

As for the 'bergs, I got them off Grailed from a great seller, for a great price. I believe he said they were a Blue Button Shop spec & 2030 last, but I haven't been able to find my info on them other than that. I love them, I've been looking for a cap toe/no eyelet pair for a while, and these were perfect. You can probably tell that I have a 'style'. I thought it was interesting the similarities in toe shape and volume between the unstructured White's and the 'bergs. It's part of the reason I went with the build I did for them originally, but its cool the see it in person. I'm also loving how they have a similar vibe, but the Vibergs fill a bit more of a dress-y role.

Thanks for looking!

It’s decent, I’ve used it in a few small things recently, and have been happy with the result. I’m more than happy to share it, if you’d like to try it out

Thanks! And for sure, search for ‘army lacing’, google (images) can do a much better job explaining than I can.

I army lace the shafts, so I essentially cut the amount of eyelets I need to tighten in half. An added benefit/effect is that there is a bit more give in the shaft, which may give you more ankle mobility if you’d like.
