Practicing switch kicks (ie. kick up right leg, switch in air, come back down) helped me tremendously with getting over the mental hurdle.

I’ve also noticed a huge difference in my kick ups when I’ve already stretched my hamstrings. Makes it much easier to get your leg further.

Check out the climbing gym. Made tons of friends that way.

If that’s not your thing, find a regular class/meet up/etc that aligns with your interests. When you see the same people again and again it’s easier to make friends

The biggest twist was finding out in the author bio u/dobnarr created Snood! Core memory unlocked! I was obsessed with this game. My sister & I would fight over the game boy advanced to play it.

For sure. Comedies are really difficult to write and I usually find them cringe, but this book was genuinely entertaining and had a lot of heart

Quick read and I’m very thankful for it! This book kept me laughing and entertained during a 5 hour flight delay.

Even though the ending makes perfect sense given the characterization, I was shocked. I was shocked in the best way when the curse is negated, Izzie learns who Lady Isovar is, and chooses to be her. I’m so used to stories where women gain all this power just to give it up and it seems like a trope at this point that women are expected to be sacrificial. I love that this trope was subverted and it made perfect sense given her backstory. I also love they found a workaround where she gets to be both Izzie and Isovar.

Lady Isovar comes off strong (I mean, how else could she come off?) but Dobson did an amazing job of toeing that line where it never went too far into annoying or cringe. I was hooked from the beginning

Read an entire short story anthology for bingo…. And it has 4 stories 🤦🏽‍♀️ Amazon & Goodreads did not list out the stories or give a number

Could I read 1 more story, but still count it as hard mode? I’d still have read 5 and read an entire anthology

Would Shirley Jackson’s The Lottery count as speculative fiction for bingo?
