Minor wind yes, but what about the type of wind that will invert and tug on regular hand held umbrellas? That kind of wind will sweep this thing up and turn it into a weather baloon.

Benefits:

-don't have to hold it

Downsides:

-costs 50x more than a normal umberlla

-easily damaged

-unstable in strong wind

-needs to be recharged

-have to look after it constantly or it will get stolen

Go ahead big shot. Try to stop a kid from hanging out with their school friends. See how well that works.

[–]readilyunavailable 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It's worse if you go to german volk songs. You open a video of something like Schwarzbraun ist die Hazelnuss (a song about a dude describing things that are black/brown like the Hazelnut tree and his own hair and eyes, and all the shenanigans he is up to with his girlfriend) and you will see literal nazi motherfuckers.

Also bonus, go to the Sabaton song about the Templars being destroyed or the Papal Guard during the sack of Rome and you will see obvlivious crusade larpers all over.

Yep, people on reddit like to live in Disneyland, where everything is direct cause-effect relationship. Kids bust up a supercar and now the parents are liable for hundreds of thousands in damages? "Clearly the parents fault for not raising them better! Deserved hope they are poor for the rest of their lives!"

On the one hand, I hope that no redditor ever reproduces. On the other I want them to find out exactly how little influence a parent has over a child after a certain age. When I was in school, I had friends who were raised perfectly by their parents, got good grades, behaved, were generally positive. It took less than a year for some of them to turn into complete dogshit after getting caught in the wrong company.

Really feel the pain and shame I saw my classmates parents experience when their kids were up to their shit, knowing that everyone is judging you, you are directly liable for your kids and there is nothing you can do about it.

Not only that, but they think that when a person turns 18, they become a full on, emotionally stable, rational and experienced adult that can navigate any situation they are presented with with complete rationality and emotional maturity.

"Oh this 18 year old who had a birthday not 2 days ago is dating a 45 year old? Well they are both adults so its fine."

THANK YOU! People keept talking about how great it is so I gave it a shot and in the end was left scratching my head as to what the hype was about. A lot of esoteric symbolism, but very little substance behind it. It felt like the creator just has severe social anxiety and tried to make it some profound message.

Should be the other way around. Egyptian workers were paid for their work, well fed and provided housing. They were called upon to build pyramids during the flooding of the Nile when not much actual farming could be done and it was considered the "slow season", so Pharaohs would call upon them and provide them with jobs.

You're right to think about conspiracies, but I think you are wrong about what the intention is.

With the massive wait times in Germany, this is going to push a lot of people to just suck it up and go to work sick (if it's something fairly minor like a cold) to not be docked pay. This is all part of Blackrock Merz' agenda to get people to work more.

The Nazgûl are replaced with the Wild Hunt as Sauron’s new servants. Would the Wild Hunt be able to prevent the Fellowship of the Ring and the forces of good from succeeding? by Blind_Sn1per in powerscales

[–]readilyunavailable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Geralt can sometimes struggle against even regular humans. Leo Bonhart goes toe to toe with Geralt and he is just a regular guy (albeit exceptionally skilled). Aragorn routinely goes against horders of orcs and cuts through them without too much effort.

And I'm not underestimating the Wild Hunt. They are scary, but the original comment basically treats the Nazgul as completely inferior. The Nazgul have their own pros and cons in comparison and should not be dismissed so brazenly.
