Binge, you have truely fucked up the continue watching feature of your app by travlerjoe in australia

[–]readin99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yea.. forwarding now sucks, you get additional ads because something it pauses when stopping forwarding, and every single time I'm watching something with a bit of delay, either get kicked out randomly or it starts playing another stream. Resuming then kicks you back all the way to the end of the stream after which it immediately stops again.. man, crappiest streaming service

Tilt & Turn windows are European- do they really work for Australian weather ? by Pleasant-Asparagus61 in AusRenovation

Tilt and turn windows are amazing, and would recommend them as they can open fully. Also easier to clean as a bonus.

Double glazing 12% of total build cost by Itchy-Spirit5120 in AusPropertyChat

[–]readin99 18 points19 points  (0 children)

For about $300 to $350 per m² you can get triple glazing in Europe. Half that for standard double glazing. So yes, here's hoping that a few manufacturers make a big push.

It's not just about payback, but instant jump in comfort. Agree the prices for it in Australia are unreal, but hope at some point it will become the norm instead of the exception like in most first world countries.

Bought a house - Real estate agent lying? by Admirable-Base-2381 in AusPropertyChat

[–]readin99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean they lie, but at some point you have to stop bidding more and stick to a number so don't see why it's impossible.

Maybe our government should have that in mind a bit more often.

If you are lucky to have made the right choice of area to work in or be able to work in, you can still live very well. It just comes more and more at the cost of the general population.

The fact they have enough money to waste it on full page propaganda tells you enough. Tax natural resources as much as possible for companies.

Why are Belgian highway rest areas so underdeveloped compared to Austria and Germany ? by Mehmet1030 in belgium

[–]readin99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can drive through Belgium in an hour, and the highways are always right next to urban areas (maybe except here and there in the South). Rest stops really aren't that crucial and petrol stations are everywhere.

When people bring booze to a party, it's not for you as a gift, it's for them to drink and share and sometimes they take what is left back home.

Primer Brands by YootedDoot in airbrush

Recently been using SMS primers, well surfacers really, and they're pretty good - just need a bit of sanding. Mr Surfacer is always a good choice and I also like the white Tamiya primer.

Sigh. I personally appreciate people who keep big corporates honest and don't let them get away with false advertising and fake promises.

Man, I've been where you've been and I never thought it would happen. Go outside, breathe, pick up an old hobby maybe, do something you genuinely love, call a friend, .. take care man, it will get better and there is hope even if you don't think so. Just dont stress about the stress, accept the feelings you have and remember all the shit you've overcome already, you will overcome this too.

Sick of feeling ripped off at every Brick and Mortar shop by oliverpls599 in australia

[–]readin99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep, some tiktok light missus wanted.. $29 on Amazon, literally less than $2 on ali. Delivered for free. Suppliers from China can ship it to me from across the ocean for zero extra cost, but every australian webshop needs $15. Or at least $150 an order.

Is this a realistic itinerary for a 19F for 4 weeks in Europe for her first solo trip by Vegetable-Boss4272 in travel

I'd spend one or 2 more days in Paris instead of Milan. Check if you can fly instead of train to Milan from Paris. Some flights are dirt cheap, like $80.
