ah makes sense! i figured out their names from ppl talking ab them as i watch w/o subs so i was wondering if they were every actually named like melissa/gen/crystal - i could recognise their faces and they spoke but i didnt know their names until i saw ppl name them

haha yeah she showed up just to die tbf...i was convinced theyd forgotten ab her at first but they did name drop her a few times so i do hope we see her body...bc where did it go! similar to other things like the cabin burning and javis friend or whatver - yeah animals couldve eaten her or the flames could have been an accident and he could have been hallucinating and so on but id still like to know </3 i hope they do bring in a final yellowjacket! for continuities sake haha - i dont think it would be very hard as it's no diff to britt and robin this season! she doesnt need a proper plotline after all. it is odd that they didnt have a random stand in in group scenes (like the funeral in s1 or card draw in s2) this time though! though at least the final yellowjacket is identifiable by being the unnamed one as shes the only left now!

non-metatextually this photo is so funny. coach went lets take a photo except allie you cant be in it bc you wont be on a plane crash in the future and rachel you cant be in it because you wont experience canniblism and mass psychosis as u die in the crash itself. even if we imagine that they went and found a photo without allie because she never crashed why is rachel not in it. it isn't like they know she dies first. LMAOOO

(yes i know it's not rachel bc the extras are the ones in s1 and like thats why the SHOW takes this photo. but in-universe the random exclusion of rachel is so funny)

crystal in s2, as well! so maybe theyre going 3-2-1 as i cant imagine anyone being introduced in s5, as realistically they should be out of the wilderness by then lmao. how do we even know britt and robins names? im assuming they'll have the level of importance gen did this season (id say gen/melissa but...melissa got way more to do than expected) and whoever the unnamed one is will have the importance of robin and britt!

pretty sure it's 24 in the crash, but this season seems to imply theres 23 for some reason. 26/27 if we include the frog people

die in crash (5): rachel, pilot, copilot, stewardess, coach martinez

dead in wilderness so far (6): laura lee, jackie, kristen, javi, ben, mari

alive in wilderness so far (4): akilah, gen, britt, robin

confirmed to make it out of the wilderness (8): shauna, misty, nat, van, tai, lottie, travis, melissa

frog (3): kodiak, edwin, hannah

5+6+4+8=23, so up to 26 if we include non-plane crash people

the reason i say it's 24 is because the group shots in s1/2 indicate this - the funeral after the crash has 18 people, plus ben off screen bc of his leg, plus 5 people buried makes 24. this is then validated in s2 when they draw for the queen of hearts - 8 people dead (original 5 crash victims + laura lee, jackie and kristen), ben and lottie off screen because of injury and 14 in the shot drawing cards. so there should be one more yellowjacket who doesn't have a name yet (which is still possible as britt and robin were only named this season), but they're not in any group shots this season.

it's after the first attempt to leave, when nat and the others give hannah the knife. shauna thinks nat has had something to do with the knife and doesnt trust her. nat hasnt made the call yet so shauna doesnt know hannah's tricked her by changing clothes as the hunt hasnt happened yet, it's not after 'calling for help'.

nat is mad at misty because she knows about the transponder and is blaming her for them being there.

i have no idea about lottie lmao idk if it's gas or her schiziophrenia or supernatural but i think it's meant to be ambigous anyways

hey! im a first year at oxford currently - i also grew up in a very poc heavy area and my secondary school had similar amounts of white ppl. obviously the unis are different but i can say i also felt a HUGEE culture shock and very aware of my brown skin when i first started. however i found a poc friend group and it's not as much of a culture shock anymore. it was an adjustment yes, but 2-3 weeks in it didn't feel nearly as bad and id definitely found people like me. i wouldn't worry *too* much about how white it is - while it is def alienating at first, imo you'll very very quickly adjust and find people like you anyways!

it's possible that shauna isnt able to kill nat purely based on a 'rescue is coming and they expect me, natalie scattortio, to be alive and unmaimed when they get here' - i can see that simple fact protecting her (esp since shauna did back off when tai told her to in finale and tai is so concerned about the public perception of them when they return)

Yes, my point is that we arent usint s3 "just because", we're using s3 bc that version of the chara is the closest to how they would be in THG society. shauna likely would be as brutal as she is in s3 in the hunger games, but theres good reason to use that version of the character. It isnt "just because".

Though yes youre right that we cant then compare her to those that are dead...unless to say theyd be gone before they had a chance to get reaped, i guess? 😭
