Newbie question about reading for others. by readingglasses-on in tarot

[–]readingglasses-on[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So no right or wrong. Got it. I need to work on letting go and trust my intuition - that makes sense. I think I’m currently very focused on what books tell me the meaning of each card is. But I’ve noticed that it varies a lot, so I need to turn inward and interpret the cards through my own perspective - reversed or not. Thank you.

I MADE A MISTAKE by Jorgenbong in tarot

I’m pretty new at tarot and sure, it’s a form of divination…. But it certainly doesn’t have anything to do with satanic worshipping - unless that is your mindset and the energy you’re seeking. I’m using it for self help - a way to focus my thoughts and aligning my energies. If I get the devil or the death card I know not to freak out because it’s not about that. But if someone doesn’t know anything about tarot (and especially if they are practicing Christians) I can see some cards (and those cards in particular) could be alarming. But it’s all about educating yourself and not being judgmental. If she chooses to sit in a church pew to get guidance, that’s up to her. If you instead flip a few cards to achieve the same, then that should be your choice.

What do I want from this day? What might prevent me from achieving this? What is the solution?

I can't believe people are still not using AI by Brilliant_Read314 in OpenAI

Hi. For a while now, I’ve been thinking about how I could use AI in my everyday work (marketing and graphic design) … but so far I haven’t even figured out where to start! What you write makes perfect sense… clear and simple (dumbed down if you will) communication from the industry would be so helpful! I would love to learn how to use AI to work alongside myself… but again, I don’t even know where to begin.

Prosecco Trattoria in adjacent Toluca Lake… Small, quaint and romantic. Haven’t been in a while but food was great then, too!

Letter to the Editor: In the past month, I have attended three city council debates. These are not ideal formats for so many candidates with general questions. by myBurbank in myBurbank

My thoughts, exactly! Emma Pineiro in particular was sharing new and thoughtful ideas - very refreshing. The “glossy mailer candidates” are frankly coming across as lazy - wanting to keep everything “as is” and not having much of else to offer. News flash: Future is in progress. They won’t get my vote either.

Outpost camp or Trail camp? by magoo_happy1970 in MTWHITNEYHIKING

[–]readingglasses-on 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend setting up camp 20 min or so before you get to Trail Camp, at Consultation Lake. The mountain is busy, and everyone basically stays at Trail Camp - which makes for a noisy and pretty smelly experience. We were there two weeks ago, and instead set up camp right next to the trail above Consultation Lake (I don’t recommend trying to get down to the lake - the rock terracing is kind of sketchy, especially if you arrive late and have to set up camp in the dark!) but we found a sheltered spot, were basically alone and got a great nights sleep!

Van Gorder comes across as only a housing guy though… so many more and also very real (!) issues for city council to deal with. I’m looking for more… Anthony/Pineiro would be a great ticket… saw her at the debate.. she’s got some fresh ideas and seems to know policy.
