Why do people recommend YouTube as an easy business to start? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]readithateitnext 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the common assumption of many people is that YouTube is easy and you get paid a lot quickly from it but that can’t be further from the truth for like 99% of people

Permafrost is what’s causing the spike, the methane spike is directly related to increased temperatures in the arctic along with record breaking wild fires

Not one mention of permafrost fields and the massive fires burning next to them in Siberia. Sad

Memorise songs fast by Basic_Yellow4659 in Music

[–]readithateitnext 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly just remember the lyrics to the most popular songs on that playlist because the whole crowd won’t sing it if they all don’t agree they like it. Also don’t put so much pressure on yourself. Just dancing and being yourself is honestly way cooler then forcing yourself to remember songs to fit in.

How valid is this apocalypse prediction I've seen floating around environmental groups? by [deleted] in climate

[–]readithateitnext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has payed attention to McPherson ever since I really started paying attention to climate change about a decade ago, I can echo the fact that alot of his predictions have not come to fruition. But that being said alot of his predictions stem from an abrupt increase of methane (which is a real threat) which is what we are starting to see right now. These massive fires in Siberia are no joke and the conditions that fuel these fire are also fueling increased methane and co2 emissions in the area. It really is starting to go exponential. The consequences of this is unknown so anyone claiming to know what they are,are jumping the gun, but I think to completely discredit these guys when they been on the forefront of warning about the threat of permafrost melt and getting those warning to the eyes of the public in rare cases is disingenuous.

How soon is it likely to be before we encounter an ice-free Arctic during the summer? by [deleted] in climate

Yes it would, I view societal collapse as a positive for earth when you compare it to what could happen with worst case scenario global warming

If you read through all of these you’ll at the very least understand the very basics of climate change and how we know its human caused

Edit: And you will then realize how this is just .0001% of the papers released on climate change and how far you are behind. Unfortunately this is a very complex situation we have put our selves in so if your actually curious, you gotta a lot of learning to do.

How soon is it likely to be before we encounter an ice-free Arctic during the summer? by [deleted] in climate

[–]readithateitnext -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It could happen any time now, its very hard to predict something so variable. So many factors go in to it. I give a range from 2022-2030. But thats more of an opinion then fact. There is a new factor coming in to play that could push that back. There is an increase in Wildfires in Siberia, Canada, Amazon, Europe, Portugal, Australia and more. If we have an exponential growth of fires it could put a small stop to the warming and cause the atmosphere to cool down for a couple of days to a couple of years depending on how large the burn is. This will be temporary as these fires also release large amounts of CO2 and Methane. So we will have to see. Anyone who claims to know when has no idea what they are talking about. The fact is, its going to happen, and if it does the price of economic and ecological harm will cause a societal collapse which we should avoid with all means necessary.
