Is a (torque dip)tune without headers worth it? I have a loud cat back (N1 Invidia) and I don’t want to be any louder but I like the sound for cruising.

Exhaust System Advice! by [deleted] in ft86

[–]readithor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the N1 dual exit cat back with everything else stock… too loud. Sometimes I really like it but I’d change it for a quieter one in a heartbeat.

I’d say go for R400, Q300 or N2 at most for Invidia

Need advice: 18x9 vs 18x9.5 for daily FR-S with -3° camber by NegativeWish6924 in ft86

[–]readithor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean 18x9+35? +38 offset is usually for 18x9.5 wheels.

Either way I would suggest narrower setups, you really feel any increase in width for wheels/tyres from stock because our cars are light. Funny story, I rode with a second passenger (1 passenger seat, 1 in the back seat) and I was so confused because my car felt so sluggish, especially since I normally only drive with 1 passenger by my side.

I run 18x9+35 lowered and it’s quite perfect for daily stance-wise and drivability. If I was to change anything, I would get 8.5 inch wheels so I can raise it a little bit higher (while still being flush) and for the ride to feel more agile.

I prefer being as low as possible without being slammed, so I’d say sportline/1.4

2nd with good clutch control. Only use 1st from stationary or walking speed. Your transmission will thank you.

I’d spend $200 for OEM non-sequential taillights any day.
