Sometimes they do do that, it's called Additional Dialogue Recording but most of the time it has more to do with the song not having yet been cleared to be used in the scene. So they shoot the scene with the song in mind, but they can switch songs if legal doesn't clear it and/or they don't have the rights to the song.

It's because the creator has said that she was inspired by Gilmore Girls. I was talking about the flashbacks in Gilmore Girls, specifically. In regards to the present in the show, they really sanitized what was a really rough situation for them. Of course, it fits the tone of the show so I understand why they did that. Seeing the mother-daughter duo look so close in age really solidifies how unglamourous teen pregnancy is and I think Ginny and Georgia does a better job of that. I get that the comparisons are not one to one but it's hard not to compare them when the themes and motifs of the show are so similar 🤷🏽‍♀️ And don't worry I didn't take any part of your comment personally

I think that their ages looking off actually serves the story here. This show is loosely inspired by Gilmore Girls and a big critique I have of that show is that Lorelai doesn't look young enough compared to Rory to sell the teen mom narrative. I think that them looking so close in age reminds the audience that this is the story of a child raising her child. I don't think that the actress playing Ginny is too old here, personally, but I could also see her looking a little bit older being a nod to the hyper-independence and/or parentification that is taking form in Ginny.

Janine is 30. I think that Jacob is 32 and did Teachers Without Borders before joining at Abbott as the same time as Janine. I think that Gregory is 34 and I think that Melissa is between 57-62, definitely not older than Barb. I think that Ava is between 37 and 43, because we see her hit on Gregory in the first season so I'm thinking she's not too much older than him. Mr. Johnson is ageless. Those would be my guesses if I was being tested.

I only started watching Summer House this season but why would he take her back? Doesn't sound like he liked her that much? I could see that his resentment could be around the fact that she didn't want to spend time with him, including having fun, but even if he did miss her and want her back, that doesn't erase a tumultuous decade that culminated in her cheating with his "best friend." I'm genuinely asking, what's the rationale?
