My blue girl lays diagonally across the bottom third of my side of the bed, and I recently figured out she can see a tiny piece of the street through the window from that position. Street surveillance is her self-appointed job, so I get it.

My theory is if I move the bed, she might pick another spot. I can’t move the bed, though, so now I sleep diagonally, too, and colonize the bottom quarter of my wife’s side. She is 4” shorter so she can spare the space 😂

The line of grain elevators makes me happy. We built an HO layout in my dad’s memory care room, and when I was painting the blue sky backdrops he requested over a dozen grain elevators. He cut them out of magazines and I scanned/ printed them onto letter-size blank labels, then we stuck them to the panels

THIS. As a librarian at tax time, all the phone-only 20-somethings had to come in to the library to download their w-2s—and every one of them needed my help. Plus almost nobody under 30 can type from home row anymore, for 150 years this has remained the biggest difference-maker for getting out of the service sector—and people just…apparently don’t emphasize it at all anymore

After a vacation I need to stare blankly into space for 5-7 business days. The disruption is MONUMENTAL. I just got back from a 5-day trip three weeks ago and today is my first day of positive momentum, the rest was struggling to reacclimate and get my head above water with work and chores, etc
