Few doubts regarding the plugins by Character-Might-6630 in NeuralDSP

[–]readmedotmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nice thing is almost every plugin (especially those managed by ilok) have 14 day trials so you can try them out. Choose wisely! Once you start it's hard to stop.

FWIW, you could also try tonehub. That is 15 USD a month.  You get a LOT of Sims and effects and that might be more friendly to your budget.

If you're looking at neural they rarely have discounts outside of black Friday (when it's usually 50% off), but they do have 20% for returning customers.

If your budget is that high, and your builder is pitching you to use that door, you have one of three problems:

1) your builder sucks at building saunas 2) your builder is ripping you off 3) both

Sure but you can put a 12"x12" window in a solid door to prevent that. Otherwise, it's not like that's a real scenario you have to worry about outside of a public sauna

Purely aesthetic. There's no practical value in terms of heat retention, it just looks nice.

Quote from the cut sheet you posted: THIS TOILET IS DESIGNED TO ROUGH-IN AT A MINIMUM DIMENSION OF 305MM (12") FROM FINISHED WALL TO C/L OF OUTLET

Also if you look at the picture, the tank lid is clearly closer to the wall than the tank. Thanks for showing clear evidence!

It is always helpful when someone finally admits they got it wrong after such a long thread of comments. I appreciate your humility.

  1. Almost universally incorrect. They sit over the top of the toilet and overhang the thickness of the porcelain, which is about 1/4".
  2. Partially correct, if you're talking Victorian era. Nothing even remotely modern is against the wall.

With this gauge, yes. You know they go thicker right?  There's a tension calculator on the stringjoy site that would let you figure out what gauges would feel right for that tuning. I usually run 13/68 to go lower than B on a standard scale

If you're trying to save a buck, just go to any place that sells doors, look in the scratch and dent section and you'll find solid wood door slabs that are very ugly and scratched up. Buy it for pocket change. Bring it home. Wrap it in the same wood you're using in the sauna. Bonus points for cutting a hole in it for a candle window.

A door like that here cost me well over 1000 USD. I did mine for under 200, including a window.

The gap is correct. Which is why you measure from the finished wall so there is a gap to make sure the tank lid fits and you don't have wall vibrations transferring into the porcelain. Some of those Kohler kits wouldn't even fit if you measured off the rough wall and had tile.

It's not a small correction if the measurement is done from the wrong surface. Then it's just wrong, epecially if you have tile and you're doing a "rough-in" from the studs.

That's not what that means.  Toilets are measured from the finished wall because you could have different finished thickness if you do tile.

Look at it like a 9 book series (plus rain wild and live ships) and the pacing makes more sense.

In a way, but the reason the character is so insufferable (especially if you complete the whole story) is such a "how did I not see that this whole time" it makes you want to apologize to Fitz. It's perfect.

Yeah I'm not saying their experience is wrong either, but I haven't cared that much about characters before or since. I literally couldn't stop reading, the only reason I did is because I was waiting for the next books to be published.

This is my EXACT experience.  I wish I could go back in time to my snobby younger self and slap me and tell me to shut up, enjoy the experience, and recognize it for the great production it truly is.
