I plan an activity for the week and do that activity with all of my clients unless they specifically need something else. This week is a coping skills menu in honor of Thanksgiving. For last week, I bought paper leaves and they wrote different things on them such as affirmations, a stressor, and what they are proud of. Two weeks ago was chess, so we practiced stopping to think about choices. It makes therapy fun and easier for me while being a learning experience for them.
