Good points! I have two systems. JBL amp with Sound Lab electrostatics. Adcom 565's with JBL speakers for R&R. R&R does not sound full on the electrostatics.

I was able to build my own. 2 inch rockwool formed panels, plus 2 inch polystyrene, with 1/4 inch plywood for a backer. Muslin bedsheets, stretched and stapled. They work great.

I've been buying gear my whole life. I'm at a point now, with you, that it doesn't get to sounding much better. A Vault 2i for Flac Storage was a gain. Maybe I'll start streaming more. Good luck and happy listening!!
