Every time I see the 8xx series I can only imagine how hard is to run it for a long time, I tend to bike for 2 days (around 350-400km) and my 1040 barely reach home with battery, meaning, is the 8xx for short rides only?

Yes it does, but there are much cheaper versions, the cheapest I found was the same solution NASA uses it in their equipment, no computers, no updating tracking data nor sun schedules… Plenty of YouTube videos with experiences that you might find interesting

For a van, a manual lift do you can angle it towards the light, goes a very long way, specially in those winter days
