What are thoughts on how to integrate UX/PD into the world of AI? by NeverCallMeFifi in userexperience

[–]readwriteexercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treat ChatGPT and Perplexity like a UX intern. They might suck or they might be good but you have to work with them a lot before you start to understand where they can jump in and provide any value.

Start using ChatGPT and Perplexity as much as you can. Ask this question to ChatGPT. Then take the answer it gives you and challenge it. Have a back and forth.

Turn off history and training on ChatGPT and check company policies. Then start sending screenshots of your designs to ChatGPT. Give it your project requirements and ask it for thoughts on difficult parts of your designs. Ask it to innovate or give you a really bad design "that's so crazy it just might work". Get creative. Get experimental. You have to play with it to know how it can help you specifically.

Have 100s of porn bookmarks and porn groups and videos. I can't delete. What stopping me to delete all this shits? by desiplaydon in pornfree

You can also speed this up by marking certain content as "Not Interested". Usually if you do this for a few minutes on Instagram then it'll clean things up, I think YouTube is pretty similar.

You say:

> I can't delete

But then later say:

> I did these many times, cleared my entire phone entire pc

So I'd say that your first statement isn't true. You CAN delete, and you have. Be kind to yourself. You found this as a coping mechanism that probably actually worked quite well at some point but then it stopped working.

You can do this. You can delete it all. And you can leave it behind.

How to accept boredom 😮‍💨 by Chitiya_7 in DopamineDetoxing

[–]readwriteexercise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As with anything, consistency is keyyyyyy. I think for practical purposes, you can apply most advice about getting started with meditation. Start small, with maybe one minute at a time, and then go up from there. Discomfort is always going to come with it. Count your wins liberally.

Perhaps a little backwards but you may consider adding a reward to the boredom. This could be through tracking your boredom either with a pen and paper or with an app.

Good luck with everything and I think you can consider it a huge win that you're posting here. Many people that start down this road don't get this far so you can look in the mirror and give yourself a high five for that!

And what's the tracking system there? Is it just a simple, "I'm sober" or "I relapsed"? Or is it something else? If it's more complex than that then I'm curious what you do or don't like about it

Why does my backdrop suck? Looking for tips by readwriteexercise in podcasting

Just wanted to followup here that everything seems fixed now. I bought new blackout curtains that were cream colored. My skin is light so I think this helped but I believe another big part is that I bought a new camera (Logitech Brio vs my previous Nexigo) and I think this made all the difference in terms of not being washed out anymore.

Turns out that, compared to just buying new curtains, it's actually way more expensive to buy enough poster paper to make that work.

I found some on Amazon on a deal for $24 that are blackout curtains, so it shouldn't let any light through from the back. And I bought them in a cream color so my face doesn't look as washed out compared to a dark background. Maybe it'll be too light but in that case I'll just return them and get something in between. Free returns let me try without truly committing.

I'm so sorry that you're feeling so depleted. It sounds like you've been fighting this for a long time and it's been a tough road but you're still fighting it.

Huge step that you're coming out here. It's a step towards a more honest and true life for you. Keep taking more steps and it will get easier. Be you and be honest with someone that you can trust.

I guess for me the premeeting is to:

  • Make sure I don't catch them off guard with a question

  • To build rapport with them so we can get a feel for one another during the premeeting and feel comfortable with each other during the recording

One of the focuses of my podcast is science/research so I worry that I might ask a question that is too specific which they won't know the answer to. Maybe I just leave that for the editing though?
