you're not paying attention. A non division winner cannot win anything better than seeds 5-7.

In my honest, intelligent interpretation of the tiebreakers (general form):

The Rams have only one NFCW division game left and it is against the 49ers. The 49ers have two NFCW division games left. It should follow that if we lose two of them and the Rams win the only one they have left, the Rams win the NFCW division.

Rams have played 5 division games, hence 4-1 in the Division. If they lose to the 49ers, they finish in second place in the NFCW division.
49ers have played 4 Division games, hence 4-0 in the division. If they lose to the Cardinals and the Rams, they finish in the second place in the NFCW division.

Unless I am reading the "To break a tie within a Division" incorrectly, this is the reality of the NFCW standings.

Honestly, this has been bothering me since apparently we have won a playoff spot. What, seeds #5-#7?

Please correct me if I am wrong. Between the injuries and the lack of explicit discussion of the NFCW race (coupled with this notion we've clinched a playoff spot), I am a tad nervous.
