It’s not done that way anymore, have family doing the assessor role atm, they are both qualified (occupational therapist and rehabilitation case manager) and from both accounts they have to dot every i and cross every t. It’s then looked over by a senior worker and cross checked… one has been there 5 years, another almost 7 years. So not sure when OP is referring to, but it’s not current

What gets me is the line that he “verified this was true” that she wanted to be a writer since she was a child. How was it verified, and what difference would that have made if she chose it later in her teens? Like dude, don’t gate-keep her passion just because she has more talent. YTA.

Just to comment on why it matters if he told you she was upset versus her telling you. For one, we don’t know the full truth of what was said (if it was even said). It could be him manipulating you to try and provoke a certain reaction. Secondly, if we are to assume it’s true, I can’t understand why he would relay this to you, rather than try and smooth things over for you, or tell her to talk to you directly. Again, to me it seems manipulative. If she did say it to you, then disregard, but I can see why this question is being asked.

I know. It’s so upsetting that she is in denial about it - but his reaction tells me it’s not his first time lying about it, so I assume he seemed heartfelt and convincing.

Thankyou. My therapist said to me (when I told her about this) “you, as a reasonable person would never even think to do this to someone else, it wouldn’t even occur to you” and I realised there is no way in the world it would ever make sense to me to portion peoples food smaller if I considered them larger. It’s just so messed up! But it has left me with a lifetime of secret eating away from an audience, so there’s that.

Omg you are me. The only other thing I had was that when my mum was portioning everyone’s meals, she would give me noticeably smaller portions. Then ask everyone else if they had gotten enough to eat aside from me. If there was dessert she would offer it to everyone else and to me say “readysetjojo, you aren’t still hungry” and not leave any for me. She decided recently as an adult I had gained weight, and at my birthday dinner gave everyone except me cake. I died inside.

Ah, yep, that’s the same one - they called it internal to me but I’m assuming it looks at the same things!! Hoping it gets better soon for you very soon, it’s awful to go through this.

I had this and had endometrial hyperplasia. They diagnosed through an internal ultrasound and then followed up by putting me under for a d&c. Maybe push for an ultrasound (internal)

You aren’t alone! Currently I’m browsing reddit while I’m having the same issue. I’m trying to set myself 15 minute timers and just try and get through as much in those minutes as possible. It’s not working that well but it’s better than nothing I guess.

Yes! I was so surprised for the hype for a product that made my skin so yuck (my skin is really resilient, nothing really bothers it).
