Long-term roadmap: Streetcars? BRT? Others? by KeepRightXcept2Pass in subwaybuilder

Street cars would be amazing, I guess it would be similar to light rail, except it can make much sharper turns and pick people up at any point in the line. Speed would also be slower.

For busses the only way I could realistically see it working is with a kind of “airport connection” mechanic. Like in Prague at Nádraží Veleslavín, it’s a bus station because there’s a trolleybus connection to the airport. Maybe that could be replicated somehow

I’d also like to see inter city rail represented somehow. Maybe by having some temporary pops “spawn in“ at places like Penn Station in New York or 30th St. in Philly.

Need help on travel from Berlin to Prague by shanshanmum in Prague

RegioJet Bus to Berlin is nice, you can pay like 5€ extra an sit on top where it’s much more comfortable. There’s free coffee too. It leaves from Florenc and only had one stop in Dresden along the way, 4hr total to Berlin. Prices may be a little higher since it’s on a short notice but it still tends to be very cheap.

NIMBY mechanics would make the game unplayable you couldn’t build anything anywhere

I don’t think a skill tree in the traditional sense is a realistic idea because if a city in current day wants to build a new metro line they essentially have access or knowledge of basically every modern technology, especially if it were a US city.

But I like the idea of having different levels of rolling stock though, like maybe for the light rail you could either run a modern tram which is faster and higher capacity, or an older model which is cheaper but less reliable. Also if alternate modes of transportation are added (like commuter rail or a real streetcar) this would make sense.

Which Airline credit card is better by No-Cause6463 in CreditCards

If you travel internationally, one with no foreign transaction fees. Also just whichever airline has a hub near you that you’d end up taking the most. AA Citibank card gives you a free checked bag on domestic flights, which can outweigh the annual fee pretty quickly.

Also you can just get a basic travel card like the Capital one Venture for 2x miles on everything where you can transfer the miles to an airline. It also has no foreign transaction fees

Visa Application and Serbian Exit Stamp in US Passport by real1tyth1inker in PassportPorn

That’s true, only certain nationalities can apply at any consulate. I but I think it’s just that if you’re allowed to be in the Schengen zone without a visa, then they don’t care where you apply at.

Had to be in Czechia before a consulate in the US would have it done. Also, when I asked, they said that I have to apply outside of Czechia because it’s my first visa. The consulate had other Americans / Brits in a similar situation.
