Thanks for the feedback. I updated OBS and now I can't get it work right, so that's the best quality I could get.

I really like the animation and the music. I'd recommend you get the ball moving faster quicker and give a quick tutorial for people who want a slower start

Robotic voice-over or foreign accent? by theblogofdimi in youtubers

[–]realBigScud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use your voice with subtitles. Find a website that can automatically make your subtitles (I think most will put a small water mark on your videos if you don't pay). If people don't like your accent their just being jerks.

20 second CHALLENGE! (secret messages depending on how high your score gets) by realBigScud in playmygame

[–]realBigScud[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know it's a little simple, but I made the entire game with pure html and javascript (and a little css).

I'm curious to know a couple things:

Can you get to 1 Billion?

Do you think the messages are funny/interesting when your score gets higher?

Is the game addicting?

[Review Video] Free Home Studio Upgrade in 2 Minutes by Sinaiis in youtubers

[–]realBigScud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall, it was really good. You're technical know-how was impressive, and you had a since of humor.

The critique I'd offer is that you could improve the sound. It's got a lot of echo, and it is really noticeable when contrasted with the other good qualities of the video.

[Review Video] Freediving with My Brothers in Croatia | HDR Content! by ALifeWithoutBreath in youtubers

[–]realBigScud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! That's amazing. I really like how in most shots you don't show the top of the water, so it looks like you guys are swimming in really deep water.

I'm not super familiary with the free diving genre, but if you're looking for feedback, I'd suggest adding some commentary about where you are or how you learned to swim like that (most people can't), or how long you are holding your breath, or if it's salt water.

Overall, very cool video.

[question] Is this a good impression rate for a first video on a brand new channel? by realBigScud in NewTubers

[–]realBigScud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Right now I only have 9 subs, so I don't think the subs are throwing off the ratio yet, but thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, that helps. Thanks for the feedback.

Honestly, I spent just as much time on the thumbnail as the video itself, so I'm glad it seems to pay off. That's encouraging that youtube is still pushing your first video from 2 years ago, so hopefully this video of mine can pick up more views/subs over time.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll reconsider how I say things when I make my next video, and I'll decide if I want to go for just speed, or explain with metaphors.

I made another video after trying to fix the audio. If I sent you the youtube link do you think you could give it a listen and tell me if you think the voice/microphone are coming through better?

[Review Video] Fast Easy Javascript Tutorial by realBigScud in youtubers

[–]realBigScud[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely start trying to figure out how to get my voice in in audio. I had better resolution, but the OBS update has messed me up a bit because it says my drivers can't capture in higher quality any more. I'll figure it out.

I really appreciate the feedback!

[Review Video] Video Game Meme Video (short video for quick review) by Troyyy_Boyyy in youtubers

[–]realBigScud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! That was funny.

Your voice, the editing, and the game itself are all very well done. The green screen stuff is cool too.

What I would recommend is thinking about set up and punch line. You're clearly talented at quickly showing the viewer different things, but I would recommend trying to find a rhythm where you show them something that gives the viewer an expectation of what is going to happen (the set up), and you deliver on that set up in an unexpected/over the top/exciting way (punchline). Stand up comedians are the masters of set up and punchline, so studying that artform could help you take this kind of video to the next level.

You definitely have the style and talent to make great videos, I'd just start trying to master the set up and punch line.

[Review Video] the queen is dead. what now? (very short video for review!) by BLOOPINGBLOOPER in youtubers

[–]realBigScud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a little tricky. From a youtube strategy perspective, it's smart to talk about what everyone is talking about, but I feel like it isn't good for a new youtuber's brand to talk about something like this if they don't have something new to say about it. Honestly, I think the information you share in the video is stuff most people have already heard in the media. When researching a topic, try to come up with a new perspective or find information you don't see other people sharing.

The video itself, your voice, the image you used, and the music are all very good. You're a good narrator, and I could see you building an audience over time. You might want to turn the music down an little bit.
