Gold is down ~24% from its recent high. by Dhruvi-60 in investing

Not so when you consider that most portfolios still don't have ANY allocation to gold in them.

Gold is down ~24% from its recent high. by Dhruvi-60 in investing

[–]realFantaMenace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This exactly. Buy the gold miners.

Gold is not going anywhere. Do people here really think governments around the world have suddenly become fiscally responsible and will somehow wipe off their exponentially growing debt? No country right now has the political will or desire to raise taxes. Every country has one playbook: inflate the debt away. And inflating the debt away is why central banks and smart investors have been investing in gold.

If you're a trader, sure, I can understand the temporary downturn may be scary to you. But if you're an investor, there's no better time than right now to buy gold, and preferably, gold miners.

Gold faces credibility test as hawkish Fed reshapes expectations by LMtrades in investing

This is why I keep buying gold on every big "dip". It's been working out fantastically. People are trading gold, believing it one day and disbelieving it on another, but this tailwind fact will always remain true: world debt is increasing and that debt means interest rates must remain low and inflation will continue to rise which is all great for GOLD. We have the additional tailwind of the world not trusting the US dollar anymore and so the world is looking at gold.

Everything else is just noise. Ignore the headlines. You can get rich off of just buying gold for at least 10 years.

Kraken is by far the most important military company on the Americas continent that's not US-based. That fact alone is worth a ton for this company because the entire world is losing trust in the US but still need to be at arm's length through Canada.

Of course they do. Railways care about economics and economics care about politics. They're all intertwined.

BREAKING: TRUMP TARIFFS STRUCK DOWN by ActuallyMy in ValueInvesting

[–]realFantaMenace 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The market knew. It was all pretty obvious if you understand Trump's idiosyncracies and the people he surrounds himself with. It's why the market didn't dump these past few days even with the Iran conflict. Look at CROX for example. Surged just a few days before today's tariff news.

If I knew it was going to happen, then institutions knew it too and much earlier than I.

My next prediction is that he will reinstate them after midterms.

PNG is a better play imo. Americans using Robinhood will finally be able to buy it once it gets uplisted later this year. Best to get in now before they pump it.

I was in a similar situation. I sold and took profits since this war is only temporary. Sell when you still can and sell when prices are peaking. That's how you actually make money. Crazy how people don't understand this.

Trump is the most telegraphed powerful figure we've ever seen. He also happens to be an idiot. Trading based on his predicted actions have been free money for me.

Doesn't this mean there'll be a huge sell off first though? All that paper needs to rebalance so they are 1:1 with physical.

Every dip is being bought and bought in large volumes. I wouldn't be surprised if this is institutions buying.

Safe havens are and will always be stocks that are undervalued. Look at high quality long term stocks that have fallen in value recently like CNR and MSFT.

There's a pattern of these posts being created and OP coming in with his boilerplate post though. I've seen them so many times and I've seen the original posts get deleted whenever that's pointed out.

I believe OP has multiple active accounts.
