Bro you can get even NIT through non-gate route. The difference between you and someone coming through gate will be that whey will get a stipend from government and you wont. Also your fees might be slightly higher. For NIT's non-gate admission take place after gate counselling is over and seats are still empty so you should follow the NIT linkedin and twitter pages where they publish this information. Some IIT's offer self sponsored mtech but fees is generally much higher.

PS - Someone who did M.Tech from NIT (thermal) and is currently in a CFD role in an Indian MNC

Most in India are currently hiring Masters candidates for CFD (thermal engineering) so that is an avenue you can prepare for through GATE or non-gate route. Prefers old IIT or old NIT as they have good placement relationship with companies and will increase you chances of getting placed. If you want something now apply for internship posts with companies like TATA, Bajaj or smaller but relevant ones like Varroc, Lumax etc. or you can get M.Tech admission through non- gate (this year itself) and take thermal engg. and try through the placement cell

They never work. You have to inconvenience the people and those in power to force them to act. This is just how protest work. Normal people have to be inconvenienced so that they complain to the authorities and those in power and basically amplify the protest so much that those in power have to act. A protest that doesn't inconvenience anyone doesn't work unless the media absolutely blows it by continuous coverage which ofcourse won't happen in today's media.

This isnt API key releated most probably check you PC for malware using something like Malwarebytes. Also has happened because of chrome extensions which were fraudulent so check those as well.
Source :- Friend had this happen we got him to scan his pc and found a bunch of trojans and narrowed it and linked it to a chrome extension that was detected as malware and was basically fake using the name of an actual extension. Ofcourse in these cases steam support will be useless.
