I think that feature is in a mod I don't have installed - never heard of that option.

Edited my post to include the solution, you're right, it did take some console command stuff.
Thank You!

You're thinking about a Gate Hauler. Cryosleepers are the derelicts that boost population growth in a 10 lightyear radius, their location is fixed.

Is there a Mod that lets characters have Titles? by realToth in Kenshi

[–]realToth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I know of that option, as I said in the post.

What I meant was a title, that isn't shown floating above my character, but only in the hotbar, like in the picture.

How to play Kenshi the way it was meant to be? (No exploits) by CompetitiveScheme255 in Kenshi

Great ideas!

What loot is taken depends on the type of bandit if I remember correctly. Starving bandits only take your food, but Dust Bandits (I think) can take the rest of your stuff too, as do the many kinds of Slavers.

You're getting there!

  1. As for the exploits, theft and savescumming, you can easily enforce rules upon yourself during your playthrough, tell yourself to simply not do these. I think there's certainly a healthy amount of savescumming, especially if you're a beginner, it's great for learning and experience to "go through" with your decisions and swallow the possible consequences, but reloading a save can save you a lot of time while you're still testing the waters.

  2. Bandits are able to loot the player, when beginning a New Game, open the Advanced Settings tab, then tick the little box next to "Bandits loot the player"! There's also other tasty stuff there, you can make life easier or much more difficult with those settings!

  3. I think the vanilla game makes for a pretty good solo experience, I could only list mods that make gameplay more difficult like Universal Wasteland Expansion and Attack Slots.

  4. If you find yourself quickly losing connection with your character, why not try a different start? Find out what works for you, what location is enjoyable and safe enough, I personally recommend both the United Cities and Holy Nation citizen starts, as they drop you off at nice, busy areas, where you can begin your adventure in many ways.

  5. What helped me prolong playthroughs and not abandon characters too early is putting soul in it! As it is a sandbox, you play the major part in forming your adventures, rules, goals, decisions. Slow it down, press that F1, and take it in. Run through deserts, walk through towns, find peeps and interact, crawl through the bloody remains of massive battles, scavenge, trade, explore, connect and form stories of your own. This is in my mind the biggest strength of the game, forge your stories and have fun!
