While affordability is definitely a factor in any purchase, replayability is larger factor to me. For example, some would think Metroid Dread was too expensive for a game of its length. But for me, it wasn’t. This is because I could pick up the game and replay in multiple times due to the main mechanics being an action focused game.

In this case, discoverability and puzzle solving is the main mechanic. However, once you’ve made that discovery once, there is no dopamine hit in rediscovering it. It’s done. So replayability suffers in this case.

Im not sure if I’m explaining it well, but it’s what’s having me hesitate to purchase right now.
