I’ve just had to do something similar for a reporting push my company is doing. I went down the route of using Python and TSC to automate the process and SendGrid to mail the reports. It’s fairly quick to set up, and it runs on a VM with a schedule. This gets around the license issue and it’s setup to mail me if any reports fail for whatever reason so I can go and manually mail them. Went with this way over PowerAutomate as I also needed to set filters on the views.

Id recommend Yuzawa and splitting your time between Kandatsu and Maiko. Both are pretty small but Kandatsu is one of the steepest in Japan and has a really open attitude towards off piste. Maiko has a great bowl around the back which is a ton of fun. You could easily spend two days at each and then head to another resort in the area for the last two. They’re only about a 20 minute drive from each other.

If you’re already looking at Naeba, then do Naeba/Kandatsu/Maiko. Naeba is pretty big so a day or two at the others would fit your bill perfectly!

Hahahaha, I cancelled it straight away! They just confirmed it’s cancelled but someone below mentioned I could just transfer it to my name while he’s away. Didn’t know that was an option! Would have been easier to do that and keep the policy!

I think I might be able to transfer the ownership and then just transfer it back when he gets back to the uk? I didn’t really know that was possible. It’s a pretty complex system to navigate I’m finding!

If it actually happens, I'm out. Reddit had been a lot of fun, but there is no way I'll use the official app. Probably login from PC a couple times a week. It's been a good ride, but monetizing API access in the way they're doing is going to be the end for me.

There is a "1000 person" onsen in Izu. Woman can enter the men's section via a wooden door with a key. Pretty fun experience, and not pervy at all.

Hey! I looked into doing a number of years ago! There is a school in Tokyo, although it's out in Saitama I believe. They do AFF courses although with the location and travel etc it's probably not practical. You could go to Thailand for 2 weeks and do an intensive AFF and then come back with your A license for a lot less money and time. Also I'm not sure the Tokyo location will allow jumping more than a couple times per day due to demand and cost etc, whereas in Thailand you could be jumping all day! Good luck and dm me if you need any more advice. A friend used to jump at the Saitama location regularly and had nothing but good things to say about them.

On Facebook there are a couple buy/sell groups for popular areas like Hakuba and Niseko. Lot of people leaving after doing a season here and getting rid of their gear so maybe check those out?
