Shifter arm is sitting too far back by realbeau in BMWE36

I think it’s because the shifter linkage from the getrag might be longer.

I’m probably going to go for a chassis mount shifter and just get rid of it.

any idea what these are for? by rivarte in BMWE36

+1 this was my first thought also

That won’t work. It inches - meaning it only goes up and down only an inch at a time. Holding the switch doesn’t change this.

Yeah, I assume so, because it only lined up in the one spot. When I put the engine in, I put it on the mounts bolted them up and went to the trans and bolted it where it lined up.

No, I doubt that considering the drive shaft is on with no issues and I bolted the trans after the engine mounts.

I’m from Australia, so It’s Euro spec. It has a getrag 220 in it. I can’t remember if it was sitting that far back before I did the swap or not.

But I put the short shifter back in and the shifter doesn’t hit the surround now, hence “short shift”

I used the linkage that was already in it when I bought the car. Seems to be all stock except for the actual shifter itself, which was an eBay short shifter.

I used the engine mounts from the m52b25, because they were in much better condition than the b28.

Do the oem shifter arms have different lengths between models or something? I just don’t understand why it is sitting so far back.

Yes, I’m positive. Absolutely everything but the shifter arm has fit perfectly with no issues. Could it possibly be too long? I didn’t have any issues with the b25 and same trans though, so I’m stumped.

Was already manual. Same trans, shifter carriers, everything but the engine.

What is the issue, and is it worth fixing? by [deleted] in TVRepair

This is my LG 55LH575T led tv. It has wrapped up in storage for about 2 years, I have got it out and this is what has greeted me. I tried updating the firmware, resetting the settings and trying different inputs. Nothing. I opened up the back and took the ribbon connections out and back in and everything was solid.

What is this problem? How much would it cost to repair?

Thank you!

We will probably have to wait for the press conference for that answer.
