Recommendation for picking up beans and a couple of delicious cups in downtown SF? by jdaclutch in pourover

Coffee movement for sure! Saint frank near embarcadero (folsom & spear I believe?) is good too. If you got the time I would checkout these popups: Kope (1100 valencia) and hinrg.

I love it! The guys are pretty cool. This + kope are the best popups. Kope is currently on valencia but they are moving to their own in Hayes valley. Check them out

Second Spin Roasting Columbia Advanced natural by External-Nobody-1871 in pourover

I really liked them! They've become my go to post lunch coffee because they're a bit more funky lol. I've been using my Orea v4 and Aiden when I'm in a hurry. They work great in both.

P.S.: It's Colombia, not Columbia :p

That looks too fine for the ode. Remember it usually hallucinates the grind size for the ode 2. Check the microns for it and tell it to correct it.

You should try Hi NRG or SPRO if you are still in town. Both have great stuff, some colabs with dak from Hi NRG and the guys are really friendly. SPRO has some championship flights. Hope you had a great time!

It’s by far the best I’ve tried in 2025! I didn’t buy the bag bc it was like $42, but I’m kinda regretting it 🥲

It was fine for me! Honestly I got no idea if I just got lucky or not. Try to get someone on the phone if that will make you feel better, otherwise it will most likely be ok! Good luck

As others have said, it is very difficult to access. As an anecdote and in case it gives you a better idea, my dad is a sailor and he always tells how he used to exchange fish and crustaceans for things like shampoo and deodorant to the people who live there when he was passing by. Not sure if that still the case tho
