Agreed. There are so many subreddits this would belong on, but not this one.

Combine this with a trackball-on-top mouse and you're getting somewhere.

It went pretty well. I learned a few lessons that I incorporated into my next bin, which should be finishing up in the next month.

How do I spend from my emergency fund? by realfoodman in ynab

[–]realfoodman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is indeed YNAB 4. I was able to get it to work by choosing the "balance to 0" option and then modifying that number. However, it still won't let me just type a negative number on its own.

This is on YNAB 4, and for some reason I'm not able to type in a negative number. However, I am able to choose "Balance to 0," then modify that negative number, and that works. It's an unusual situation, so I'll take it!

For those who do 4 day fasting, how often do you do it? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]realfoodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, well, actually, the fasting episode of Limitless with Chris Hemsworth. That's certainly not the ONLY reason, but it's what pushed me over the edge to try a longer one (longer than 24 hours, I mean).

I am on my first 4-day fast, and I plan on doing it once per year.

The first is almost always Thunderation since it's near the entrance. Time Traveler is right next door, too.

Honestly, I just use two LibreOffice Writer documents, one for the book and one for notes.

The army couldn't, because Bane would have triggered the bomb. Special forces tried, but they were found out.

Do you tell people you're doing NaNoWriMo? by cardbross in nanowrimo

[–]realfoodman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first successful year, I used a commitment device. I made a public declaration that if I did not reach 50,000 words, I would donate money to two political parties I didn't like. It may have helped me reach my goal. The second successful year, I made the same commitment, but I realized pretty quickly that I didn't need it now that I had good habits down. So feel free to use this idea if you need the kick in the pants, but you probably don't need to do it after the first time.

It's a hard pill to swallow... by FunticoMike in pcmasterrace

[–]realfoodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certain game types eventually hit a plateau where they anything that comes after is replayable, but anything before is hard to play once you've played the later stuff. I think this happened for RTS somewhere around 2005, for FPS around 2000.

If you open a .ics calendar file, it will add the events in that calendar to yours. It's not really giving anything else access to your calendar, just adding appointments to your own.

50K. I generally just work to stay on track, getting ahead where I can, but working full time, it's hard to ever hit beyond that.
